I was looking for a new spoke for my bike which it seemed nobody had in stock. I looked on teh internet and saw that JE James had a kit in stock. I called in to check they had stock to which they confirmed but then he dropped teh bombshell that it may take 3 days to proccess the order and then between 5-10 days to ship the item. I thought i will go ahead with the order and of i can find someone quicker I will cancell this order.
After a number of phonecalls i found someone with the same item that could ship the same day. I sent an email to JE James cancelling the order. Two days later (strangely the same day that the part was delivered from another supplier) I had an email saying that they have despatched the item. I immediately called up and asked why they hadn't cancelled the order to which the response was they hadn't received the email.
I forwarded the email to him while I was on the phone to him and said it was clear that I had sent it on the same day. He accused me of lying and forging the email to show it had been sent earlier in the week. He said I could send it back but I would have to pay postage. He was extremely rude and condescending.
To conclude, slow service, rude staff, poor website (no way to cancel order online)you have to speak to an idiot
