Light weight, works straight out of the box, very good webcam.3GB of memory, very good as Vista uses 1GB.Great Screen,highly established manufacturer.8 out of 10 ,good for the price. But forget the big games,Design 10/10Usability: 10/10Features: 8/10Value: ...

Item: Sony VAIO VGN-AR31M
Bought VAIO AM31M T56000 17 in April 2007 for £1272.49.
Aug 20008 - Key fell off the keypad and webcam stopped working.
Eventually paid £189.26 to get these fixed.
Webcam broke within a month.
Then lines started to appear on the screen. By Dec 08 there were 6 narrow vertical lines on the screen.
Sony wanted £700 to be agreed to repair - in case the mother board needed to be replaced!!!
Does anyone know if this problem can be fixed? I'm not ...

Fast, quiet and does not heat a lot
I suggest this laptop but make sure that after a year of usage you buy a new screen for replacement.
Still, I do recommend the Sony VAIO FE VGN-FE41E lap

Fantastic screen, have had mine for a year and have not had any issues, use it as both a work computer and for pictures.
All laptops are fragile, if you use them right and take care of them then this laptop will look after you.
Well recommend Sony VAIO

Screen is superb quick and easy to use and great value for a good quality laptop
I have had mine 2 years and have had no problems at and this is strange for me and any computer. Well recommend Sony vaio
