I reported a faulty Solar PV Panel in late February. Even after numerous calls and emails, SOLAR SPIRIT have failed to resolve the failure. They keep referring to their service partner who has failed to respond to service request. Why should you buy product from a company which cannot even get their service team out to fix a problem given three months. I would recommend people steer clear of Solar Spirit.

I have an engineering background and have managed technical installations, as a result I had more in depth technical questions than many people would normally ask. I found the design team to be incredibly helpful and knowledgable, communications were very good and responses were always prompt. The installation team were also very good, everything was done on time and the quality of workmanship was very high. They even help to croscheck my Feed In Tariff forms to make sure that they were acceptable to SSE. I would most certainly reconnect them to my friends and family.

Spirit was recommended as a partner installer by Sharp headquarters after I decided to go off grid with my new built home in Kent. I was pleased with the speed they do their job - whole bunch of small tasks from scaffolding to a working system tests and set up was very fast and accurate. Tesla battery was a great choice to complement solar panels, and in spite of a slight delay on the supplier's site I appreciate the support I received from Solar and the system they installed. I also need to point out that the team had all the necessary tools on hand and left the site absolutely clean and tidy.

I have been very happy with the solar 3.3KW panels that Spirit Solar installed back in 2011 and the on going service in rectifying a fault under warranty in 2014 with out fuss. I hope to be in profit next year and generating for years to come.

Will made a site visit to discuss the eco energy requirements I was interested in concerning my new house build . Whilst we did not go with spirit solar for our air source heat pump , we chose a brand not marketed by spirit solar , we did however get them to install PV panels . They were very professional and made a first class job of installing the panels on to the battens of a a new build garage block , hence they are set into the slate roof and not on it . Many clcomment to the installation which is unobtrusive and neat .

The initial survey recommended strengthening the roof, and we were provided with a detailed survey. We went ahead with this, and the work was very professionally done. The scaffolding had to span the conservatory, which was done with no problems. We were recommended Solar Edge technology due to the surrounding trees, and this has worked well. The only problem I've had was linking the Solar Edge to my wi-fi, but that turned out to be a faulty home plug! We recently had the panels washed by a firm recommended by Spirit Solar, and they proved very effective. All in all I'm very pleased.

Spirit Solar were professional from the first contact with no pressure and no sales talk. Having confirmed our location we received a detailed quotation as promised. Having decided to go ahead the technical and energy surveys were carried out at the time and date agreed. Once we confirmed our decision to proceed the installation was carried out on the agreed date. The work, including scaffolding, was carried out by competent and personable staff who we were happy to have around the house. The installation was well done, the work was tidy, disruption was minimal and there was no damage or undue mess. Communication from the Solar Spirit office was always professional and comprehensive. Solar Spirit did everything they said they were going to do at the time they said they were going to do it, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

What can I say but very easy to deal with and got the job done. They didn't get the job on the price, as they were equitable with other suppliers. However they included the structural survey in the price, the deposit was all guarenteed independently away from the business, it was a 25%/75% split so they had to do a good job AND they were very easy to deal with. Then come the installation it was all very slick, scaffolders and panel installation all done in the day and the wiring and connection the following. System all up and running by 14:00. The only things missing was the wifi connection so you can get your reading from the internet.....that didn't turn up for two weeks. Not a complaint as the manufacturer had run out. They came back and fitted it when it was convenient for us. The other item was the warranty wasn't issued on the final day of the install an admin error...meh it happens and when notified it was all done very quickly. They even helped me a few weeks later when i needed a reading from the not to easy to understand FiT application form. If I needed more panels then i'd be going back to them.

The installation went smoothly scaffolding one day Solar panels the next. All the staff were pleasant to work with and polite. We went for the hots water option and it's great to have loads of "free" hot water. The panels have been in place for almost four months and we are clearly exceeding our expectations regarding output and savings. Well worth the investment. Thanks Spirit Solar.

Having decided that I would " do renewables ", A Shade Greener's offer to put 16 solar panels on the roof of a cottage partially built in 1652 facing the road was rejected and they did not do any other installation, the water authority proved awkward over an extraction licence for a water turbine and the wind speed average was just under the minimum needed to justify a wind turbine. Air source and ground source heat pumps fell over because the cottage couldn't get a D rating on the EPC. Then along came Spirit Solar, Yes we can do free standing solar panels but you will need planning for over 9sq.Ms. especially in an AONB so put them on the roof of your swimming pool where no planning is needed. The site visit highlighted the previous owners insistence on cheap builders / electrical work but again Spirit Solar stepped in : we can sort out the earthing problem and replace that non armoured cable. Next as expected the cottage failed miserably on the EPC rating even with proposed new double glazed windows and the solar panels, not a problem said Spirit Solar we will get an exemption for the swimming pool enclosure and you can get your feed in tariff. Throughout the whole exercise nothing was too much trouble the work was carried out as promised including some Saturday working, the workmanship is splendid and the solar panels are belting out the Kilowatts even my sceptical builder was impressed enough to ask for a card because he thinks it would be a good idea for his " Gaff " The can do attitude was a breath of fresh air compared to the more usual negative response to anything slightly difficult or unusual.

We approached Spirit Solar having researched them on the internet and being satisfied about their reputation for installing PV systems. A salesman called and provided information with no pressure to buy. We had follow up questions that he answered quickly by email. We found it useful to have quotes from competitors who may have been more knowledgeable; in talking to them, we had more confidence to ask questions about what Spirit Solar was proposing. Once we agreed to go ahead, the work was carried out very quickly with no inconvenience and no problems.

Spirit Solar work hard as a team to ensure that the installation is of high quality and the customer has all the information required to make the right choice. I took the time to consider a lot of different options and spirit solar always willingly provided me with new quotations. I don't think they are the cheapest out there, but I considered that having the confidence in the company to provide a quality service was more important than finding a slightly cheaper supplier. The price was still very competitive. When my roof turned out to be more difficult, the team were swift to bring in another team to ensure that the job did not get overly delayed. Well done to the team at Spirit.

From the start, I found Spirit to be very helpful and responsive to my queries. The crew who installed the panels were on the ball and the equipment seems to be doing a good job. The office helped me with the paperwork (not much fun) so overall a good job!

All of the staff who were involved in the installation of the equipment were knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and very professional.
