Having experienced City Socialising's tactics regarding it's 'members', I can honestly say that they are quite sinister in trying to monopolise people's social lives for their own profit.
A few of us who were active members (we suspect many profiles are not actually active) made constructive criticism to try and improve things, but when City Socialising young over-zealous marketing types found out (we suspect by viewing our private e mails on their site,as it was highly unlikely they could have found out so quickly any other way) they rapidly blocked our accounts. No one had at that point resigned, but it had been mentioned in e mails that we were likely to resign as we were not being listened to by City Socialising.
City Socialising is still largely a failure in our city by the looks of it and we would advise city socialising members to be careful what they put in their 'private' e mails on that site. Anyway, plenty of free groups on the net these days...why pay to go to the pub?!
