Speaking as a total Eastenders addict i feel abit biased when discussing it. However i simply have to emphaise what an amazing year they have had, from storylines like the controversial baby swap saga to whitneys explotation ordeal. Eastenders has gone from strength to strenght this year and either love it or hate it, it is undeniably got a host of fantastic characters in Albert square and 2011 has seen some fantastic developments and of course this is down to the actors, writers, crew and the veiwers, and asviewers we are presented with these amzing dramas and can watch these people lifes evolve and become a part in our lifes. EE deserve all the recognition that comes it way and in return they manage to deliver to the audience persistantly. Its a wonderful thing that these writers and actors take part in this show to entertain its loyal fanbase.
2011 has seen some mesmorising characters pass through Walford such as the shallow Glenda Mitchell who was simply a delight to watch despite her shallow veiws and loose morals but still stood out as one of brilliant Characters there, then of course theirs the obvious ones who continue to showcase their characters in a believable and justified way, take the likes of Kat Moon, Phil Mitchell, Janine Malloy and Ian Beale who have faced many woes but stay true to the core of the character. And then Rising new stars like Lauren Branning, Tiffany Butcher, Liam Butcher and Fatboy for example who are taking centre stage and becoming a important part of the square. And then the characters like michael Moon who has intrigued fans with his bizzare behaviour and twisted humour, The Masoods remain a established and EE favorite, The Christian and Syed love story is forever changing course. The cast has seen some major installments and exits (Eddie Moon, Ryan Malloy, Vanessa Gold, Ronnie Mitchell). The Brannings never fail to get into Drama, and of course then theres Shirley Carter, Heather and the oldies like Dot and Pat. Cora Cross and Rose Cotton are some amazing additions the whole cast has on the whole gave out a flawless performance. For me the change in Vanessa Golds character was amazing and was one of my main highlights of the year and it just goes to show the talent stars zoe Lucker and the cast do have and how much they give to the show.
