    Smeg Opera A42 looks great, stylish and well finished, but a shame it is such a pile of rubbish otherwise. Personally experienced 3 elements failing, timer and grill breaking.     Never again....just try to get the service engineer to come and fix any problems in less than 3 weeks. 1st visit to assess the problem £75.00, 2nd visit to fix it, costing parts + 50% mark up and at least a 2 week wait for parts.     I have had my smeg cooker for 6 years. before I could even use it the heater coil in the fan oven shattered after it had been installed. The rubber around the bottom door fell off. Now the bottom oven heats to hot you can't use it incase it catches fire. Customer services don't answer any letter ...

    We bought a SMEG STX dishwasher thinking that it would be a good quality and reliable machine. How wrong could we be!
