The phone itself has a brilliant screen and lots of features but suffers from realibality issues. About 6 months after purchase the phone went dead one day when I was out shopping. Upon reasearching on the internet I found a lot of 16 GB UK phones are dying due the nand flash eMMC issue. I contacted Samsung and they arranged a repair with ANOVO Norwich. No response after 10 days and I had to call them up myself and was told it is beyond economical repair and they claim it is due to water... (read more)

The new S3 is a brilliant phone, it works fast and accurately. Due to the fact there are no limitations with the Android software there are many more cool and interesting things you can do on your smart phone. From downloading movies to downloading any browser you feel like using. This is much different from Apple software which limits you to what you already have on the phone when you purchase it. I have had my Galaxy now for nearly 6 months and have to say it is the best phone I have ever owned. The screen is crystal clear so much so that I have even watched full movies on the screen in bed so not to keep my wife awake. The internet connection is fantastic and far much quicker than my old iphone the only thing I will fault is the charging connection. Always had iPhones but fancied a change after getting bored with iPhone5. So, I took an expensive 24 month gamble on the S3 after trying it out in the shop.....the best decision I have ever made. Android has come so far in the last coupe years its unbelievable. The phone basically does everything I want it to without having to try and figure out ways to work around a closed file system. Took me a while to decide between the iphone and the galaxy, but I couldn't be happier about my purchase. The camera is fantastic quality, having a larger screen is really helpful especially when surfing the web and viewing videos/pictures, and the hand motion shortcuts are unbelievable! each day I learn new and fun ways to tilt the phone that make it even more fun to use. Though its a relatively new phone, jellybean upgrade is still not available in India. This is a major put-off considering the amount paid (INR39 k at launch in July and INR 36k today)and the fact that jellybean is already available in certain countries.. Also with the launch of the Galaxy Note 2 at a similar price (INR 39k), it sounds steep. Me and my wife both have the Galaxy s3 and would recommend to everyone wanting a smartphone got to be 10/10 and easy to use and we can not put it down there is so much you can do on it the list is endless.. I bought this expensive phone thinking it was a safe deal. Was lost and decided to 'CALL MY PHONE" to ring it at the highest volume and tried tracked to find the phone - none of them worked!! Took absolutely ages on the Samsung account - if i knew it wasnt going to work i would have done somehing else in that precious time instead of relying on its features... I am not a Google patron. But, this is the first time a droid has impressed me. On holding this device, it was clear that it is a cheap-looking device. I haven't actually bought one myself but had the pleasure of playing with one that a friend of mine bought as a second phone....both of us being iPhone users and he wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Apple are worse at monitoring what your doing, where you are etc. I couldn't help but laugh at the Iphone is a complete product, everything integrates nicely with all your devices bit rofl. You are obviously a apple fanboy and have no idea what you can do with Android. Here's something the iphone can't do, try installing a unoffcial app that's not on itunes. It won't allow you without modifying the device, with android you can do it with no problems.

The Samsung Galaxy S III was well marketed, including a viral campaign that gave away just enough detail to keep the appetites wet of all gadget gurus. Samsung didn't have to go to the effort they did, anyone who owned a Galaxy S II and understood its true potential was gagging for the S III before it had even been officially confirmed.
