I love this phone. I was in the market for a new phone and have really been impressed with Samsung's line of products, so I went with this phone. The play store (which is their version of the app store) is awesome! I have also noticed that android users get many more apps for free. The camera on this phone is awesome and has a great quality (as does the video). I also love the screen size, which is huge, it really makes everything easier to see. Overall, I am impressed and have grown to love... (read more)

Sometimes when downloading an app from play store screen goes blank then mobile restarts up again after closing , This is not a problem for me as when it restarts it goes to where i left off, I also recommend Lookout Security its free from play store , Also on movie tube films play excellent no buffering no cut offs , Sat nav excellent, The only thing i miss is the fingerprint lock which i had on my motorola atrix Thank you for reading jk (read more)

A few days ago Id have enthusiastically recommended the S2 until the phone failed to recognise my SIM. Randomly and out of the blue. According to Google it seems not recognising the SIM is a common problem - the operating system gets corrupted and its the talk of lots of technical forums Despite this Samsung don't have a fix for it - and I'm not technical / foolhardy enough to attempt a fix.

Just received my S2 and like the phone, but, upgraded from HTC WILDFIRE and unfortunately S2 is lacking in no led light flashing to let you know of messages and also only gives one audible warning of messages instead of repeating as the HTC did, therefore 4/10 instead of 5/10. Camera is a big improvement and connecting so social media is super fast. Back cover is a little flimsy but not a big issue as once it's on it's on. Would recommend a cover as screen looks a bit vulnerable with it... (read more)

Ive had iphones since the first gen came out. Until i was given a samsung i had got bored of the iphone. To a degree that i was ready to revert to a simple blackberry (Please forgive me). Anyway i was given the S2 from someone who had recently upgraded. It took me a week or two to really get into it but its a great little phone. The battery life is dreadful compared to the iphone but the rest of it is great. Only other issue is it has a really bad keyboard to it. The responsiveness of the... (read more)

Works very well. Better screen and options than the blackberry I had before. BUT - I had another galaxy s2 that I lost before this one that didn't work as well. I've tried my friends' iphones but they were too small. I love the screen, it could even be bigger. My friends keep breaking their iphones but I've dropped this phone so many times, no screen damage yet. (read more)

Great phone that has so many features that I've yet to use them after nearly a year of ownership. Very strong processor with a super-bright screen. I have the T-Mobile version which has the huge screen. The downside is that it drains battery pretty easily (it'd be a good idea to purchase an external battery for whenever this becomes an issue) and it can be hard to carry in your pocket. I would recommend this phone to others, but given that the s3 is out, this phone may soon be considered... (read more)

I own both an Iphone 4S and a galaxy S2 and prefer the Iphone by far. The Samsung is not a bad phone, it is in fact very good. the customisation options are fantastic, the openness of the handset returns me to a day whereby I could happily choose a ringtone myself without buying it for a few quid from some capitalist regime somewhere on foreign shores. The problems lie in the fact that the Iphone although fascist in nature is also very easy to use as a phone. The Samsungs texting in... (read more)

Let me start off by saying this is in many respects a very good Phone, it has a nice bright big screen with decent colors and a good resolution, its nice and light and feels good to hold, is generally a nice bit of kit. Unfortunately, I've had to many issues with mine to credit it anymore then 2 stars. After owning it for a month, the main board burnt out meaning that it could not make or receive calls and was stuck in flightmode, credit to Vodafone for their fast diagnosis and repair... This seems to have been a rogue model. I've had the SII for ten months now and it's great. How can you break the USB port? I have huge paws and am very clumsy and haven't broken anything. You are better off 'managing' your data use a bit - when at work or involved with something else, switch the data off; at home, I just plug it in beside me and switch the wi-fi on. I use it like a computer: Facebook, Twitter, Plants v Zombies etc and the Internet (quite a lot) along with my full collection of music on a 32 gig card. I love it and have just upgraded the OS to Android 4 (ICS) I got this phone for nothing as I have a contract (con-trick?) - but hey, I'm happy

Thanks for your comment Neilhutch.
The phone is genuine as it was purchased with my 18 month contract, and has been sent off to Samsung whom have also had a look at the phone. The USB charging point is like every electrical product, the Achilles heel because you're forever pulling and pushing it when you are putting the cable in to either sync with your laptop or charge from the mains.
I'm the same, I use this phone for internet more than I use my ipad 2 or laptop. I have no problems with using the internet, it's just like as I've stated in my review that there are other issues with the phone.
having just installed the new update, everything seems a lot more stable, although I've had to do a few battery pulls recently when the phone has crashed.
Im buying the new HTC phone next week mind (Qaud core processor), looks a fantastic bit of kit. Hopefully I will have more success then I have had with the S2.

I have owned this phone since it was released and I have to say WOW what a phone. It's easy to use if your a beginner but has all the features and functions you need if you want to go in more depth. The battery life could be better but then again if you have the latest update it helps a lot. Apps are endless and there are some really good one. I use my phone for everything. I moved from Samsung to iPhone back to Samsung for the Galaxy Note and all I can say is I'm glad I did. Love it. Much more sophisticated, no need to plug it into a computer for updates or to add music to it. Absolutely superb!

I have the phone for a few month by now and would describe the Galaxy S2 as simply amazing. Absolutely no complaints, it is super light, thin, fast and has so much to offer with all those crazy Android Apps and Widgets out there in the Android Market (data plan required). Many people have complained about battery life but in my experience the Galaxy S2 battery can last a few days when not surfing or using the internet 24/7. By far the best smatphone available! The Samsung Galaxy S II is the phone the Korean firm deems the successor to its best smartphone so far. And with a 1.2GHz processor, super-slim chassis and feather-light innards, it's easy to see why. The dual-core race is set to heat up massively over the next few months, with the LG Optimus 2X already released, and the Motorola Atrix, HTC Sensation and iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S all set to bring the tech to market too. Coming in at £35 a month and £519.99 SIM-free, the Galaxy S 2 isn't the... (read more)

This phone is amazing. As far as look goes, it is *thin.* Like, 8.49 mm thin. A lot thinner than the iPhone 3G that I owned previously. Despite the fact that it's thin, the curved sides allow for easy gripping. The casing itself is plastic, so it feels less costly than other all-aluminum phones, but its absolute thinness prevents if from feeling low-cost. It is a classy phone. (read more)
