“Phone is good, but...”

★★★☆☆

written by apereira on 19/08/2015

...not better than any other good generic android phone. I was really happy with the phone until it broke on me one week past the 1-year warranty. Too expensive to fix, no money I had, ended up purchasing an unblocked generic android phone for one-fourth of the price, cheaper than what I would have paid for the repair. Big surprise: the phone was just as good as the Nexus and for that pricetag could not have gone wrong. Lesson learned: beware of the buzz around expensive devices. When they break on you they will be as broken as a cheap device and the bitterness and frustration of having spent so many dollars on a device that breaks one week after the warranty is just unbearable. Not that I didn't like the Nexus. I dd, until it broke one week after the 1-year warranty and was too expensive to be repaired.

“Great phone! i had to download Autoforward ”

★★★★★

I just brought my daughter this phone and she said she loves it! Shes on the phone 24/7 without a break so i had to put a spy monitoring system on it. I downloaded auto-forward and what i love about this phone is it doesn't show an app for the spyware! I can now see her texts, phone calls, and social media. i downloaded the software . I highly recommend this product

Please do not use any LG phones. I have purchased a new LG G2 phone and it was my 1st experience within 10days of usage display became blurred. I have contacted with LG customer service UK, after a month conversation they sent me a prepaid envelop to sent faulty phone back for repair . Unfortunately after five days I got it back with a letter saying this hand set is American and it is not under UK warranty. I am still doubted is LG an international or a local company? I never ever faced a worse customer service like LG and please advise the customers to stop the purchase any LG products otherwise onces you will also face the same problem what I faced....

“Smart and straightforward”

★★★★★

written by veMartin1 on 02/06/2014

When I realised my old phone was no longer up for the job, I started looking around for a new Android smartphone. The first call was the Samsung S5, but there were so many reports of faults with the Samsung range, and abysmal customer service. I checked out the good looking HTC One which was tempting. But the LG Nexus 5 had the edge with price. The only downside appeared to be the lack of extra storage. All round the reviews were good, so I went for the 32G version. It arrived promptly, and worked straight out of the box. The Google contacts were there straight away, and all the apps I needed loaded and ran without any problem. Storage is no problem at all (ok, I don't use it for music which would take up 8-10G) but I use it for just about everything - including with Kindle app for reading, reading the Economist, photos, e-mails, browsing, calendar ... I don't know how I worked without it. There are some great touches - the notification light is multicoloured, so I get a white/yellow light for an e-mail, a red light for a BBC news flash, a blue light for a facebook notification and a green light for an eBay notification. On the down side, the browser is not as good as on a PC, but hey, this is a smartphone.

“Took some pursuading...”

★★★★☆

written by 16vAndy on 03/01/2014

Now I wasn't much of a fan of smart phones. I found them to be very complicated & I didn't see the point in having one in my life..... until I purchased the LG Nexus 5. I wanted one, initially, so I could access the internet for my job but the overall performance & functionality of other uses proved addictive, especially certain apps. Turns out to be a really nice looking, easy to use phone with endless opportunities for upgrading functions, tones etc. The only disappointment for me is the awful camera app that's built in. It takes nice pictures & in HD should you choose the function.... but its so difficult to control what picture quality you want, from zoom to the time it takes to take the shot. I much prefer to forget it & use my normal "proper" camera for important pictures. All in all, a very nice phone with a huge touch screen, bigger than most. A better camera would have given it 5*
