Phone Arena has introduced the Blackberry Curve 9380 as the only touch screen in the affordable curve series. The legendary keyboard has been replaced by with a tiny 3.2” display. Features, like 5MP fixed-focus camera with LED flash, 512MB of RAM and the 800MHz processor are added to the modest display. With the all plastic look and the build quality, it is well designed to create a comfortable feeling in the hand.
One complaint users have about it is the Blackberry Torch 9860-like side keys which are unnoticeably bumped in together and it requires significant pressure to get them to work. The viewing angles could have been made to look better, as soon as 45 degree mark is reached; colour deterioration is noticed just like in every LCD technology. The bright LCD screen produces a vivid colour. The 360 x 480 pixels resolution makes up for 188ppi pixel density to make it look better.
Another good thing about this product is that in the pack, you will get a MicroUSB cable, 2GB micros card, wall charger, and an in-ear headphone. Some people were happy with the upgrade to O.S 7.1 , but others believed that with the insensitive key buttons, the phone is a poor reflection on RIM.
Consumers at TechRadar gave the Blackberry phone an average rating of 3 out of 5. The low screen resolution, not so smooth keyboard, operating system with rough edges, poor social integration and the few performance issues were all believed to contribute to this. The design, lightweight and the colourful screen were all praised.
Reviews at Web Telecoms suggested that the Blackberry Curve 9380 was probably the most popular phone now. A consumer remarked that if you like tweeting and using SMS, the phone may not be the right one for you because of the small keypad. Many people register their pleasure with the cheap, chic little device with smooth metallic finishes and round edges.
