Skoda has come a long way from its origins as a bicycle manufacturer in the 1890s via a reputation as a producer of post-war communist workhouse vehicles to todays Skoda as one of the best value providers of stylish family cars. The modern overhaul of Skoda started in 1990 when the company was taken over by Volkswagen. The Skoda Fabia, the popular supermini, became the first car to transform Skodas reputation with the aid of VWs leadership and the Skoda Octavia and Superb similarly won over customers and industry experts who have been amazed by the performance, handling, comfort and value for money of these vehicles. The reputation of Skoda looks set to be enhanced as the company continues to add new models to its line up. Current highlights include the turbo-charged Skoda Octavia diesel.

  i,ve had my Skoda Fabia vRS 1.9 TDI PD two days, the mid range tourque is unbelievable, great fun to drive and very fast .its an 05 model in silver , it looks fantastic everybody should have

  Bought my wife a new Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0 TDi PD in january 07 and it is without a doubt the best car and best value for money car we ever owned. I own a BMW X5 3.0d sport and if the Skodas in the drive I take it very time. Exceptional build quality and comfort.   I've just bought a vrs today!! the special edition one aswell :P One evening i walked past it and it caught my eye straight away and i knew looking at the colour and leather seat and thinking of the power it has i just had to have it! The blokes in the dealership had to warn me not to go full throttle until i'm used to the power! i mean i have never had that said to me before, i pick it up on tuesday and if i'm honest i can't wait these couple days have better go ...

  The Skoda Fabia VRS 1900 TDi is beautifully put together, fast, cheap to run, cheap to insure and just great to drive. The turbo diesel engine has so much torque it takes your breath away if hit the gas pedal hard. I used it as a driving school car, easy to drive and so forgiving, Even with the treatment school cars tend to get it was faultless, I changed it for a new one after two years there were no noises, no rattles, no faults it was as good as when I drove it off the forecourt.   Got my Skoda Fabia VRS last March so had it just over a year, the car looks great and shifts pretty well too having gone from a 300bhp Astra GSI Turbo, got a house so it was cheap motoring but still with the smile factor, the Fabia stepped up to this challenge and i wouldnt change it for the world, well, unless they released a 300bhp rally ...
