Good day every one, I have owned my 535ats for 2+years, and i am very satisfied with this pump guns performance.I have put literally HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of shots down range, everything from 2 3/4 light game loads (lead) to 3 1/2 steel shot,from 7 1/2 to buckshot, and a variety of lengths of slugs. I have had 1 failure to extract (due to operator error/first time shooter soft stroked it, i took the gun, pumped it and bango...fixed) and the pump has a small crack in the plastic around the action bar attachment point on the pump on the underside by the mag tube (and i do mean small, i was SOO concerned, that I applied a dab of nail glue and it was fixed) this happened at about the 800 round mark and probably had more to do with the soft case i use and the number of times the gun has been crammed in my trunk (p.s the gun is still shooting fine). The field barrel with Mod. choke is AWSOME patterns very well up to the 60-70 yard marker and can still make shots at farther distances (although i would not recommend this type of shot while hunting), the turkey barrel with xx-full choke does pattern well up until about the 35-40 yard marker and then it just gets messy, at 50 yards its about...well 50/50...but i dont know anyone who tries to take turkey from a football field away. I haven't tried the rifled slug barrel yet. i read another thread that said "this is the worst kicking shotgun ever made" and i have to tell you that guy wasnt lying, this gun is fairly savage in the recoil department but i like a "positive" recoil experience, that been said i have had EVERYONE i know want to try to shoot it and i have let them, so far the only one bothered by the recoil was my 120 lb GF (lesson #1 shoot firearms appropriate for you size) and even she came back for seconds. This is a great gun for the money, it is infinently versatile with the barrels you get and the chamberings. It is rugged enough to be beat up in the bush and just keep going. VERY happy with it and i have recommened it to MANY people (the ones i know that got 'em are also very happy). i have tried to stick to the facts and not opinions (the truth will set you free) thanks for you time hope this review helped,......(now ask me about remington...lol)
