I bought a pair of boots in April for £60. By the end of May the toes had a hole and they were leaking! I contacted online and they advised me if I took them into store they would return them for inspection free of charge. The manager advised they don't do this and after waiting 30 minutes she finally agreed to send them off. This was after telling me they had a hole in because I had worn them too much - worn them too much in under 2 months I don't think so! I received them back from customer service today saying the style is "susceptible to scuffing" and that they have a hole in them because I've worn them! Called back customer service and was told it's tough and I can't have any compensation because it's not a manufacturing defect (but surely it is as they letter I have says they are susceptible to scuffing...) and advised me to take it to trading standards. Which I have just done! You don't pay out for a pair of leather boots for them to be unfit for use within 3 months, and the customer service instore - rude!
