“Poor customer service”

Bought a pair of Vans shoes, worn them twice and they have worn through near the toe. Posted them back at my cost (£4.50) and they have been returned in a tatty box with a curt note from 'customer services' basically saying tough. I won't be shopping there again. At the very least they could have been courteous enough to include a voucher for £5 off a purchase to cover the postage.
