My much loved pair of black leather lace-ups had given up the ghost. I decided to replace them with similar ones from Clarks where I had bought them ten long years ago. On arrival I was greeted by a pleasant young lady and then left to browse, which is what I like to do. On selecting a pair to try the young lady immediately sprung into action and summoned my size by means of an intercom type device and in a trice they were there. Now for the 'bunion test'... I explained to her that I had a 'funny toe' and she told me that the ones I had selected, whilst not being of the wide variety, might give me the comfort I was looking for. How right she was as I hadn't expected to find a new pair of shoes as comfortable as my well-worn much-loved old ones I was pleasantly surprised. I immediately bought them, having a nice chat, whilst paying, about shoe comfort with both the young ladies who had served me. All done and dusted in about 10 minutes - now that's what I call service. Many thanks Clarks.
