I originally bought this shampoo because I dye my hair a very vibrant red and as anyone who dyes their hair this colour will know, it fades very quickly!
I wanted to keep my colour as vibrant as possible!
I came across John Frieda Radiant Red Deep Shampoo in Superdrug and decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did!
The packaging the shampoo comes in isn't anything special. I paid about £5.99 for the product but it has lasted me ages. It does take some lathering up though so you might need more than your average shampoo.
The smell isn't anything to write home about. It doesn't smell really nice but then it doesn't smell disgusting either. It just smells of...well...chemicals I guess?
It does take some rinsing to wash it out but my hair felt unbelievably clean after using it.
Now for the true test! The 'colour-magnifying' part. It should be noted that my colour hadn't faded too much when I used this. It wasn't as bright as when I first dyed it but it hadn't faded so much either.
I blowdried my hair and...oh my goodness! My hair had a new lease of life. My colour was bright and also, my hair was manageable and soft to the touch.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a new lease of life for their red hair.
I did use the Radiant Red Conditioner in this range too.
