Had we been treated to Ian Simpson's cooking on a night out before retiring to our castle or cottage in the Cairngorms, eating at the Glenkindie Arms Hotel would have been an utter treat. As it was, we were also staying at the hotel. Ian has since closed the hotel. Our first meal consisted of warm mackerel dribbled over with a delicious beetroot and something sauce for me, and gently curried scallops for her. then she had lamb and I had duck. All delicious.
