“A huge disappointment with dismal returns and high MV's ”

I had an investment with CIS in their 'With Profits' Platinum Bond Plus investment which performed well in the initial years. The policy was taken out in November 2000 and over the years the bonuses payed to the investment began to decline with bonuses going very low in the later years (8 - 10 years the bond was held). CIS also took a heafty 5% initial charge when the investment was taken out, however their annual management charge was lower because of the initial charge. Idecided to cash... (read more)
