My tomtom Go worked perfectly for 18 months. I took up an offer to download the latest safety cameras at half price.
My tomtom went bonkers. When I tried to operate the device it would only take me to the doctor, the dentist, the police station or to Portugal.
I contacted Tomtom and they said they would repair it for £91 and a few pence. I believe it was too much of a coincidence for my tomtom to fail just as I downloaded an upgrade. I won't be buying another Tomtom. I notice the review pages are full of complaints about Tomtom. They are beginning to lose it.
