I have been using Nav Man for about 7 years now and I upgrade from time to time. I am an Account Manager and travel all over the UK, I drive about 40,000 to 50,000 miles a year and the Nav Man is excellent. Being able to choose 4 different routes is a massive advantage as well as the TTS fuction. Other sat navs voice commands are abrupt and un clear where as Nav Man is clear to understand, I have tried Garmin and Tom Tom and they dont come close plus the traffice function on Nav Man is foc... Had to return to shop as charger wasn't working. Was given a.non original, replacement but again had to return it as the original acts as receiver for traffic announcements. Once I got unit up and running it seems ok and has some features that my garmin didn't have such as multi waypoints. Also fairly bland and uninspiring screen and not very customisable le voices vehicles and level of map detail. Worst point is that when doing postcode search in too many cases it recognises street but has... (read more)

Supposed to be all Europe but hey, you have to choose either Eastern or Western Europe when you upgrade the maps. Is this even legal? Lots of problems wirh the software , you can phone Navaman customer service and pay 10p a mniute for the privelege. I woud say keep well clear of this product. (read more)

Very pleased with this Sat nav so far I like the choice of routes and it also picks up signal quickly. For £69 from Halfords its a bargain as far as I can see .Bought it to replace my old Tom Tom this has more up to date stuff on it like lane assist and IQ routes. The traffic updates seem to work very well as well. The other feature which I bought this Sat Nav for is the Truck mode I know its only a month trial then you have to pay out £69.99.But its still cheaper than truck specific sat... (read more)

This is a good satnav - very, very easy to use - (I still have a ICN520 great little machine but no map updates) so I purchased the Tourer. GOOD POINTS: easy to use - easy to link up and talk to my PC - easy to download map updates -great choice of routes -easy to follow screens. BAD POINTS: The voices - no mains charger - no case in the box. Contrary to other reviews this is a good satnav (read more)

This unit does appear on the face of it to have some nice features such as a choice of routes, which come up on the screen as fastest, shortest, most economical & easiest. However the first disappointment is the poor quality of the voice, which is a shame as the content of the instructions is detailed. The really bad thing as far as I was concerned was the total lack of accuracy on my route from Chatham Kent to National trust property Polesden Lacy in Surrey - I was directed along a very... I have had a Navman iCN510 for years, which was great. I had all the quibbles with cables and chargers of the other reviewers with the Tourer. After an initial 8 hour charge, I duely added all my favourites from my earlier satnav and set up a couple of multi-stop trips. The latter were not as easy as in the earlier software. I continually had to use 'find' for each waypoint, rather than just moving the cursor and clicking on the next stop point. At this point I also found that the... (read more)

good points: # Large Screen # Traffic Alerts # Good looking maps # Reasonable price bad points: # Doesnt contain 44 maps out of the box as suggested! In order to get the full maps you need to connect to the internet and download the new maps (approx 1.6gb for Europe and 600mb for Eastern Europe) # Doesnt include a USB cable to connect to your PC to do the above # Doesnt include a house charger (8 hour charge required on first use) # Only 1 voice to choose from # Sends you up private... Having to make a trip to Birmingham without my wife to act as navigator I checked the SatNavs on display in Halfords. The assistant has a Garmin which she recommended but her father has a Navman which he likes. The Navman Tourer UK & RI was on sale at £99, rather cheaper than the Garmins, and is a new model introduced in July 2011 and presumably up to date with all the latest tecnology. A demonstration seemed to indicate that it would serve my purpose of navigating from Lincolnshire to... (read more)

On checking the Navman support site discovered an apology for the latest map of UK not having speed camera info on it. They offered free download of new map and it seems to have all our local speed cameras in place.

If you got it from Halfords, then it is more than likely that someone bought it went on a trip and returned it after they got back. Halfords have a 28 days no quibble return policy allowing for plenty of ways to game the system. I'm sure someone have downloaded software from the web rather than used the cd. Such is life.
