I have been generally very pleased with my Keiro FS900 but one major drawback is I cannot find \ny source from which I can update maps
written by Philsmid on 23/03/2009
The Keiro was my first sat nav and it was bought for me on the strength of good reviews. Unfortunately, the seller has disappeared and I cannot get any help anywhere. I don't know whether I could use another map system in the unit, Perhaps someone may help here. Meanwhile, until I can decide what to do with it, I have bought a cheap and cheerful Navigo which is at least more reliable!

The keiro FS900 has a nice slear screen that is about all you can say. Sorry I purchased a Kerio sat nav although it could be the map info card that appears to be from Igo that is the problem. Worked for one journey then freezes when you try to enter any info. There is no help or infomation on how to fix. This was my first sat nav and now I think I need a new one but wich one will work as expected and not disappoint

hi guys, am trying to update by sat nav (keiro FS900) but to no avail, could anyone of you help me out there? Tks, I am not using it anymore as it gave me wrong directions.

The Keiro FS900 does not do what it says on the tin. The package contains no in depth instructions. Mapping was supposed to be 2008. but discovered it was not updated in some places. All in all very dissapointed. Bad graphics, poor battery life slow satelite connection. All in all does not live up to its reputation. I had a Mio 220c and have reverted to using this satnav. The Mio has quicker Satelite acquisition and longer battery life.

Over all I would say this is a good system. It has everything you need and it is all in a very nice and stylish body. If you are looking for an all round good navigation system then you can not go wrong with this. I have read in other places that this comes with IGO8 but it is not true, don't go buy one thinking it does. The software navigation this comes with is very good in terms of accuracy and ease of use, so if you are looking for a basic solid system, I would recomend this one...

It is a good product. The software is well above the competition. The device is sensitive, excellent even under heavy cloudy, stormy and built up conditions.
Make sure you are dealing with a reputable seller before buying this. Otherwise it is a good product.

You must realise that the Keiro FS900 is a pure navigation unit, none of those gimmicky extras like photo navigation and rubish like that which just make your system slower and slower until it dies like my expensive Navman. The Keiro FS900 is made for the reasons we first started to buy satnavs, to give you clear, accurate directions and get you from A to B. Don't get me wrong, you still get a beautifully made high quality satanv which is great to look at and touch (has a nice body) and at the same it is a top navigation device. If you want something that works perfectly, designed by the Japanese (which is very hard to find these days) then this one should do you just fine.

The Keiro FS900 is very easy to operate, very accurate and the most up to date maps I have come accross. It is so slim and compact that you can forget its in your pocket. Nice menu, nice graphics and excellent price from ebay:) can be more expensive elsewhere...

Just perfect... in every way... price, looks, features, you can't beat the Keiro FS900. Not available in the shops but I got mine from an ebayer euro-tek who seems to be importing them from Japan because I have not seen these being sold any where else. Wicked sat nav.

Have read a lot of good things about the Keiro FS900 sat nav so decided to get one but it wasn't easy to find in UK or Europe. I had almost given up when I came accross it on ebay, the wonderful ebay. Got mine for 235 Euro which is around 200 pounds. In this price range nothing comes close to the Keiro FS900.

Nice to see a Japanese company like Keiro entering this maket and taking it by storm. Forget the latest sat navs! Keiro FS900 is the latest sat nav on the market (well the Japanese market so it will be another year before it gets here!) first you will notice the built quality and the design. Then the brilliant menu system, very nicely designed and a 5 year old can operate it. Its packed full of features and comes with a great little pouch.

I like this sat nav very much, as a matter of fact I would go as far as saying it is the best one I have had. I do a lot of travelling as a sales manager and have had loads of sat navs from Tomtom to Sony, Garmin..... so on. The sat nav gets a signal immediately, it is accurate, the map software is great, it is probably the smallest 4.3" ever and it has tonnes of features.

The Keiro FS900 is an amazing piece of kit, a 4.3" flat screen sat nav that looks like a little plasma screen. So thin, its got to be the thinest sat nav, well the thinest I have ever seeen anyway. I switched this thing on out of the box and it picked up a signal immediately, even my tomtom GO 930 doesn't get a signal so quickly. the sound is excellent, the picture is great. comes preloaded with the latest maps. can't fault it...... BUT, you cannot get it here in Europe yet, Keiro is a Japanese sat nav and as we know everything arrives here a year later or something. Unless you are gadget crazy like me and would be willing to search high n low.
