Between 50-60,000 miles my regularly dealer serviced, carefully driven 2012 Mazda CX5 has had major repairs twice - the first for a hydraulic problem which Mazda agreed to repair under warranty and the second was a complete failure of the oil system. This require 10 days at the garage and ultimately a £2,000 bill. Mazda deemed the latter problem to be a "normal" expense that "owners should expect". This is nonsense and is a failure of the technology crammed into these high fuel efficient cars. Beware and ask your dealer before buying a CX5 if this is indeed an expense you should expect! In fairness to my dealer, they offset £500 because they did not accept the problem as "normal".
