I really did not want to watch this but my girl forced me... I first was not enjoying it but later it got interesting and actually finished all the way through.

“Hilarious, touching, unexpected”

★★★★☆

As the movie is a hollywood production, I was expecting something really predictable. The plot is set in America, with the divorce of a couple, Cal and Emily Weawer. As Cal is really depressed, he goes in a bar, and drinks a lot. There he meets a casanova called Jacob, who is really sympathetic to him, he even offers help to get his wife back. This is a classic comedy, and the cast is well known. Cal Weaver is played by Steve Carell. His performance is really touching; his relationship with his son will warm your heart. Ryan Gosling plays the casanova. He is amazingly good looking, especially without his t-shirt on. The story is really cheesy, but hilarious as well. Some scene are really unique, like Cal's son's public speech in front of his baby-sitter's high school so that he can prove his deep love for her. Even if it's a typical american comedy, the ending really surprised me, I didn't see it coming, it wasn't predictable at all. Overall it's a great comedy. I would recommend it: you'll laugh, you'll be moved and even surprised.
