“The Who "Live At Leeds" (Deluxe Edition)”

Without a doubt this is one of the greatest live albums ever released. When originally released on vinyl in 1970 it was a single album, basically containing only highlights of what was a superb concert. This edition is a double CD, containing the full concert, and has to be heard to be believed. CD one opens with the amazing Entwistle penned number "Heaven And Hell", a barnstorming rocker that well and truly sets the stage. "I Can't Explain" follows, an early hit, sounding better than ever. "Fortune Teller", a song written by Naomi Neville(alias Allen Toussaint), and first recorded by Benny Spellman, comes next, given The Who treatment, and they well and truly made it their own. This leads straight into the Townshend penned "Tattoo", originally on the album The Who Sell Out, a song about 2 young brothers who both get tattoos, and their parents reaction to them. Oh to be a teenager again lol. Shooting forwards, CD two is the rock opera Tommy, performed in full, a story about a deaf, dumb and blind boy. If you want to know more, go out and buy a copy, you won't regret it !!!!!!
