I did the Three Peaks Challenge last weekend and the end of one of the rented poles dropped off on the way up the first peak. Aside from not being able to use the poles for the rest of the challenge and having to borrow a pair from someone else, £60 was taken from my deposit. Would not use again.

Great kit but I returned the kit on a Sunday - obviously no post goes on a Sunday so I got charged for late return - I know it's business but give me a break - I paid a lot for the rental - harsh!

We use collectplus for returns which are open 7 days per week and use petrol garages and corner shops all of which are open 7 days per week until about 11pm, this is for the convenience of our customers who may be in work Mon-Fri. Also I don't know of a delivery company that isn't doing Sunday delivery anymore. Our delivery instructions are clearly on our website.

We use a 7 days per week returns service to make it easier for our clients to return the kit at weekends when hey are most likely to be off work. The end date of all rental agreements is clearly stated at the top of your rental agreement. As a business we cannot function with unpredictable late returns which is why we have to implement late fees to prompt customer to return the kit on time.

This was your first feedback email (see below); before you found out you would be charged for not sending back part of the walking poles.
Clearly as a business we need to replace items customers do not return. This was the set price to replace them. However, once you found out you would be charged you threatened us with leaving negative feedback on social media to try and waive the fee. Might I point out you also didn't mention any missing poles or problems in your initial feedback email. I think you should look a yourself not others to blame; when it was clearly your fault that the pole section was lost. Whilst it was an accident, we cannot waive this cost and you should own up to this and accept it like an adult.
"Hi,
Thanks very much for the equipment for the Three Peaks Challenge. It was perfect! Just to let you know I posted it all back to you this morning.
Kind regards"
