I think Matilda is a really funny and lovely book to read. My favourite character is Matilda because she is clever and is pretty.

The book is about a poor boy, Charlie, who is caring, kind and thoughtful. He lives with his parents and two sets of grandparents in a run down house near to Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
When Willie Wonka sells chocolate bars with golden tickets to allow the winners to enter his factory, Charlie doesn't think he stands a chance, but when he wins a ticket the adventure begins.
