“never judge a book by its cover”

the owners of Penhalwyn are lovely and are more than happy to help anyone. however some of the staff can be bitchy. Trencrom the weight bearing horse is huge and very tempermental he is very traffic shy and therefore not the best to be given to novice riders. all animals can change their mood and this is something people should know before horse riding. yes he needs to be trained to get this out of him but no matter what horses can change. i think people should be properly briefed before even mounting the horse. the staff need to be trained better.
and as for the look of the place it does look tatty but it was all built by the boss and his dad and this gives it a more personal feeling.
so i think with a few changes this place could be greatlly improved mainly the staff need training they seem to think cuz they have rode they know it all. some have done their stable management exams but this still doesnt mean you can let these 14 years olds go out and be in charge of these big horses with novice riders.
some of the tack is a bit tatty and could do with replacing.
the look and the staff lets this place down most the horses are lovely and so is the boss.
its very old fashioned though and could do with a few modifications.

Trecrom did have a slight problem with very BIG traffic a year ago or so, but this summer has been out everyday, often more than once and had improved greatly, and barely blinks an eyelid at the hugest of vehicles now.
