Click below to read car reviews of the Renault 5. At Review Centre we have thousands of reviews of cars including other Renault makes and models, both new and used, like the Renault Clio, the Renault Megane and the Renault Scenic.
The Renault 5 GT Turbo, launched in 1976, was one of the first true hot-hatches.
The VW Golf GTI had arrived making the R5 Alpine look dated and slow.
So Renault created the Renault 5, known in England as the Gordini Turbo which developed into the GT Turbo, now regarded as a classic by many.
Fast and reliable if well maintained our reviewers absolutely love it!

Very economical, practical, very good abs brakes, has given me no trouble at all. Quick, no faults with it, runs like a dream.

Drive one before you judge one. Good amount of power for its weight, very retro styling and a hoot to drive.

Today I drove return trip Bournemouth to Cardiff (the first time I was allowed to € borrow €ť her car). I was ...
