I have no complaints about the removal or delivery services - we had two speedy, efficient and friendly teams. However, after 13 months in storage, a very heavy oak table top, which was stored vertically at an angle (against my express wishes), warped and the metal base rusted. Rust is excluded from GB Liner's policy and the company will not agree that the table top was store incorrectly. Rather, it has suggested that the table must have been damp when it went into store and the drying out process caused the warping and rust. So, now I have no choice but to replace my dining table and seek legal redress for a reasonable contribution! Meanwhile, I am shocked to be advised that, despite many questions on the subject, GB Liners did not insure my goods while they were in storage, so there is no third party to whom I can appeal/claim - the company marks its own homework. Almost £15k spend on removals/storage, but no acceptance of liability for the ONE thing that went wrong - imagine the potential cost to me if there had been other issues!? Moreover, having requested a deadlock letter from the company Director, the response I received was "Like most of the rest of the nation I'm taking a break between Christmas and New Year and while I may not be able to resist temptation in form of food, drink or reading emails I dont plan to reply to any/many until 4th January." So, I'll try to enjoy Christmas and New Year too...at my damaged dining table...wishing I hadn't bothered to pay an additional £64.81 to extend my claim limit time to 28 days, as highlighting the rust issue on the day I received my dining table and highlighting the bowing a few days later, did not make any difference whatsoever.

Avoid this company! They seem very professional and give you the whole presentation and talk saying they’re the best, they have integrity etc. Don’t get taken in. They damaged our instrument and then said it wasn’t their fault. It must’ve been like that before. We were backwards and forwards several times, but despite reassuring us that they have cover for any damage they wriggled their way out. Do not trust them at all and find yourself a better removal company. Very disappointing considering how well the initial sales pitch came across.

I used GB Liners to move between the UK and Vancouver, Canada. On the way out in 2017 the price was high, but the service was good. My items were taken care of, they were packaged intelligently and securely and there were a minimal, minor number of acceptable breakages on arrival. However, on the return in 2019 things were very different. The price was extortionate. About 80% the cost of 2017 for half the volume, even though the items accounted for around 60% the volume paid for. The partner GB Liners selected to collect and package my items were amateur at best. They sent a single agent, with a bad back to collect my items. He couldn't do any lifting, so I had to do all of it. He had no boxes or bags with him, so took many of my items, including a bicycle completely unprotected and rattling around inside the back of an otherwise empty truck. Upon arrival GB Liners also sent a single agent to drop things off. Again, I felt obliged to assist this struggling employee. I realised that many of my boxes and bags had been repacked. Many small items were missing and from the number of breakages it was clear that my boxes had been thrown around with disregard. The worst part was finding the bicycle had been cocooned in bubble wrap along with an additional set of free-moving bicycle wheels. Repeated and sustained vibration and collision between the bike and the wheels caused significant damage to the bicycle. Despite paying the premium for insurance, I found this out after the measly 7 day limit GB Liners had given for me to make a claim. As a result, they refused to honour my claim or even treat my complaint with even the faintest hint of regret. In summary, I paid premium prices to have a bunch of items taken from me, a bunch of others broken beyond repair, and to be treated with disregard and disrespect by the people I entrusted to take care of them. Either the company has changed since 2017, or there are massive differences in how it is operated between regional offices.

AVOID AVOID AND AVOID this arrogant and ignorant company I never had to deal with a buisness that does care that little about their customers and is arrogant thinking they are the best and only company can do removals. How wrong they are. We moved multiple times across Europe ourself and our staff. After reading the reviews I thought I try them as our usual company we use is fully booked for the period we require the move of two housholds. I requested a quote for one of them and my first call with a agent from gb liners was so unprofessional and rude I decided to email the office directly raising my concern about it and the only response was saying more less well go with a other company if you don't like my staff instead of calling me and have a chat about it and discuss my quote. I replied again saying that this response reflects the customer service from the first call and I will look for another company that cares more about their customer than gb liners. The respond was : I doubt it, but you clearly know best. Managing Director | GB Liners Ltd If you don't care about customer service and want to be contacted by rude unprofessional arrogant company that you want to give your money for a service they offer GB liners is the best company to go with. However if you don't want to be treated like a child and care about customer service and professional staff moving your good don't use them.

First impression when the person I dealt with called to give us a quotation was we were dealing with an extremely professional and organised company. We found the office staff friendly and efficient. Moving day came and as soon as we met the lads we realised we were in very capable hands. An excellent service from start to finish and very competitively priced, I can't praise them enough and certainly recommend them.

I recently used GB Liners for the second time in 5 years for another long distance house move. I got quotes from other similar companies and GB were still the most competitively priced offering the most service. Pleasure to deal with from the very start at quotation, through to the removals gents who were professional but friendly and provided such a trouble free experience. Look no further than GB liners if you are looking at removals.

Such a friendly group of people. Everyone was helpful including office staff and removal lads. I moved from East Sussex to Wales, the service provided was excellent. The cost was very competitive. Unfortunately one item was damaged but there was no trouble in replacing it. I would highly recommend this firm if you are looking to move.

Moving from a largish house to a small house was quite daunting. I can highly recommend GBLiners. All their staff were extremely polite and helpful and the timings for my four day move worked exactly as they predicted. I cannot fault anything, all my possessions were beautifully packed and labelled which made unpacking so much easier for me. Moving house can be traumatic but with the help from all the men made the whole experience less painful. I can highly recommend GBLiners, they were excellent in every way from the first moment I contacted them.

Arrived on time, good attitude - staff were considerate, polite, helpful. They took good care of our stuff. And the price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

We had not moved for 25 years so we were completely dependent on our removal company. GB Liners looked after us as though we were family. Nothing was too much trouble and they were patient and kindly. The property we were moving in to was not empty when we arrived but the staff from G B waited patiently And unloaded us in quick time, and with good humour. I would not hesitate to recomend them.m

We are in our late 80s and early 90s and have been in our house 40+ years so moving was not something we were looking forward to. GB Liners were very patient but so efficient it made our move easier even moving in with 4 inches of snow on the ground! The men at both ends were polite, ensured floors were covered and even suggested places furniture would fit. Cannot praise them enough.

GB Liners were excellent throughout our moving process. The two staff assigned to us for our move were friendly, courteous and responsive over the two day moving period. All items were packed appropriately with no breakages or issues. Everything was packed, transported and delivered within the planned times on both dates. We received everything we could have hoped for as a moving service and would certainly recommend to friends and family.

Excellent customer service from the first quote to the final delivery of my household goods. I had to change the dates a few times but nothing seemed to much trouble for GB liners and they managed to accommodate me with only a few days before my actual move. The staff arrived on time and were very efficient with no damage to the paintwork or goods during removal. The following day they delivered my goods to the rooms and positioned them where I needed them. Not one little bit of damage to anything. I will certainly be recommending them to friends and family.

We have used GB Liners twice now. Once to Spain and more recently to U.K. From France. They are highly recommended by us. Right from the initial enquiry to delivery everything was extremely professional. Not one thing was damaged or broken due to the care taken on packing.

The removal men packed every object in our house with really consistent care. They were very attentive in noticing what items we wanted to leave for the people moving into our house; and they packed things the way we wanted and labelled boxes clearly. The packing was finished and everything carefully loaded into the van before the end of the day, which meant I could go round the house doing a last clean before it got too late. The next day - it was a 200 mile move - they arrived at midday, and proceeded to do a fantastic job putting everything in its proper place. They maintained a smooth-running, cheerful atmosphere in the process - which kept us all going. I would call it a jolly occasion - jolly and dynamic. They were so very considerate and careful, it made all the difference; they were also wonderfully flexible - even when we changed our minds and said we wanted something downstairs after they had already gone to the trouble to take it upstairs! They also treated my piano most carefully. We would not use any other removal company; GB Liners were worth every penny.

Have just completed a major downxsizing move after 47 years happily accumulating a huge amount of bags and baggage most of which we brought with us to our much smaller brand new home. We now look like an overstocked antique shop but wll get there one day. We have done many moves, all within UK and have tried several reputable removal companies. None of the earlier moves were conducted in a more careful and considerate way than those carried out by GB Liners, with this most recent by far the best of the lot. No matter that the move was only a distance of 3 miles, all of our treasured possessions were meticlously and patiently packed as if for an international move, lifted into and out of the vans without damage to either house or property, and placed exactly where we wanted as the offload continued. Throughout the process, from first contact, through the estimating and contracting stage, the detailed logistical planning to the departure of the last vehicle, we were treated with the utmost courtesy, the behaviour of the removal team was immaculate and they worked tirelessly and were ever cheerful throughout the 4 days they were with us. We could find no fault and as a result cannot recommend their Company more highly.

From my initial enquiry, to the move assessment, followed by the administration work and actual move, the service I received was quite outstanding. The friendly, efficient and organised service made my move easy and painless! Well done and sincere thanks to all concerned at the Cirencester branch!

We used GB Liners to store all our effects while we completed a lengthy sale process and purchase to move from Hereford to Norfolk, and then to move all the effects on completion of the purchase. Both crews for removal and return, and the office staff, were efficient, helpful and polite. There were no problems, no breakages and everything was on time and done well. We fully recommend GB Liners for both storage and removal. They might not be the cheapest, but they are worth the price. No complaints whatsoever!

We were extremely pleased with the professional service offered by GB Liners. Moving can be stressful enough but with GB Liners taking care of every small detail I think they certainly do deserve top marks.

My move was sudden and unusual. The manger who dealt with my booking was wonderful..no complaints there. However on receipt of my goods that had been repacked at one depot and then transferred to another depot to add to a shared/part load it was unfortunate to find that suitcases into which I had packed my clothes and some costume jewellery and unfortunately three precious rings had been rifled through the jewellery had been stolen.....they left the empty ring boxes the clothes were thrown into the cartons with the empty bags stuffed in on top..it looked like a bargain bucket at a jumble sale. Missing good include some collectible ornaments and children ty beanie babies . The manager is investigating but not holding out any hope for the recovery of my rings or goods I shall be reporting the theft to the police...again I know it will be a pointless exercise. The implication is that the loss of the rings is my own fault....but surely I should be able to expect not to have my goods stolen.?

We are sorry that this customer has had cause to complain. As she says the move was sudden as she was leaving her partner and we collected the goods from a horse box where she had left them. We knew they would not be packed for international transport and agreed to repack them back at the depot. The repacking was carried out by a man who has been with us for 28 years and in whom we have total confidence. After that the goods were transported in our vans, with our staff to her new home abroad. We think its stretching the possibilities to think that the delivery crew would have had the knowledge to search through the goods looking for rings (or anything else of value) and then to take them. It also assumes that both members of the delivery crew are criminals because its probably impossible for one man to carry out a search for valuables without his colleague being aware..
We do take these allegations seriously but its difficult to think that there may not be some other explanation, other than an allegation of theft.
