First used the company 2 years ago and received an excellent service. Used them again in Aug 2016 - terrible service all around - Feels like a different company. Our experience- Van turned up 2 hours later than expected, without pre-arranged wardrobe boxes resulting in us having to pack best clothing into bin bags. Sofa and cupboard scratched upon loading into van and internal hall wall damaged. Rang the company next day, terrible customer service. Was told "as far as we're concerned the job was completed yesterday". If things don't go to plan don't expect a sympathetic ear. They were a good company sadly it seems they aren't anymore

The service I received was very helpful right from the start. The gentleman who arranged it for me was very polite and professional. The 2 removal men took care of everything and moved my daughters belongings safely from Barry to London. The price was the best from several removal companies. I would recommend their service to anyone.

Company staff never once moaned about changes in move date - and there were lots!. Chap who surveyed house professional and informative. 3 Guys who moved us on the day could have had their own stand up comedy slot and really took the stress out of the move - would definitely recommend them . PS they were one of the most reasonably priced

Stressful long distance move made less of a problem by City Moves. From the first assessment to them driving away all went well. So far only a single martini glass broken! That's a result from all our "stuff". Thank you

Extremely impressed with the entire service, from initial meeting with City Moves staff upon visiting our old property to determine what volume of items required moving etc, the telephone staff being helpful and understanding with our move date changing constantly, right up to the removal team on the day. Entirely professional, many laughs on the day which helped to relieve what can easily be a stressful situation. The team arrived on the day as stated, they worked quickly and efficiently in loading everything, transporting and also unloading. The removal team on the day really are a credit to the business and I would definitely highly recommend them to anyone. So in summary a hardworking team that are professional and experienced, you will not be disappointed using City Moves.

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to the entire City Moves team, the surveyor was great and very professional/knowledgable/experienced and friendly and the staff that turned up to do the move were exactly the same. Nothing was too much and we all had a giggle, but by heck they worked their socks off!! Very impressed and just thought you all should know. I would recommend them to any one and the fact that they are a long standing FAMILY RUN company but are able to compete against the bigger (national) companies is a major bonus for me and I had them recommended by my friend who had them move her (and family) to Australia last year. Fantastic service and experience.

We got a great removal experience across Bristol from this company. The removal team arrived on time and quickly shifted a lot of goods into the waiting vans. We moved from our three bedroom house in Bristol to Locally in under 4 hours which was exceptional effort. They were very efficient, organised and hard working. I have no complaints but admiration for the office personnel and the moving team. I would definitely use again and recommend without any hesitation.

This is the worst moving company I have ever made the mistake of using. They made an already stressful situation almost unbearable. They started at 7:30am and I didn't have all of my things delivered until almost 8pm..... I moved a one bedroom apartment 700 metres!!!! I was overcharged, the removalists were rude and intimidating, many (many!) personal items were broken and my property was damaged - huge hole in wall, carpets ripped and countless scratches to various walls. After a number of emails and phone calls to them I have still yet to receive any calls in return to organise the reparation of my property. This is an inconceivably bad company and I am now being advised by VCAT.

City Moves are a fantastic company who have just help myself and my wife relocate to France. I must firstly state that every one involved, in our move, from the first phhone call & house visit to the team that made the delivery, to our new house; were all outstanding. City moves came very highly recommended by several of our friends, who had used them over the years and I must say that we are VERY happy that we used them. The he team that was carrying out my move were top class and very willing to help, top service from all involved. Only company I will use from now on.

City Moves have relocated us from Glasgow to Swansea and I would like to recommend them, with the highest honors. Nothing was too much for this company and from the first phone call to the last we have spoken/met/delt with professional staff members who were all very helpful and they really knew what they were talking about, when it came to advice and instructions...their experienced showed. I am not going to keep going on but I would just like everyone to know that this is by far the best removal company that we have ever used (and we have moved alot) and I feel very happy to offer their name to anyone that asks.

Moving house is one of the most stressful days you have to deal with. City Moves made it much more stressful than it needed to be. They failed to move several items and left them behind, including a piano which I was assured by their salesman would be no problem to move. They failed to supply sufficient boxes, promised to send more, and then failed to do this. They would not take items not in boxes (even though they failed to bring the extra boxes on moving day) and started driving off when the house was not empty. I had to pay another removal firm to finish the job that I already paid City Moves to do (City Moves took the money in advance). The other firm moved the piano easily with fewer men. The customer service is appalling - I have had no apology whatsoever, and they are generally rude and argumentative. I have had to ring and email about 10 times after the move to try and get some kind of refund for the piano they quoted for but did not move. They come across as totally unstrustworthy and dishonest. Do not use them.

City Moves have recently carried out our removal from the UK to Australia and I would just like to say what an amazing job they did!!! Very helpful staff and very knowledgeable surveyor who visited our house, the staff that came in to pack our goods were quick, polite and efficient and worked nonstop through the day packing & writing up a full inventory. Once we arrived at Australia City Moves had processed all of the paper work and cleared customs, for us and had already arranged the delivery to our new house. The organisation was second to none and the entire move was a success from start to finish, as our move was a complicated one due to the fact that we were shipping not only all of our household goods but also wanted to have our 2 cars shipped over. We were given all of the information ahead of time and their experience showed when it came to Australia's customs and import laws and duties.
