Looking at buying complete range of CDA appliances for new kitchen but not so sure now. Things fail and go wrong but it should be put right quickly and there is no reason at all for poor customer service. Looked at CDA due to being a British Company and good design but will now look elsewhere.

“Unreliable Useless”

The unit has never worked for more than a few weeks at a time. The water chiller is an open resevoir and difficult to clean. The ice shut off and thawed into the water resevoir. After 9 months of hassle CDA have finally agreed to change the FWV460 for newer model FWV470 which is an icemaker and measured water (unchilled) dispenser, (clearly they have recognised the hygiene problem) but I have to get someone to take out the existing appliance and fit the replacement. “Very poor ice drawer with digital water tap - too...”

This appliance is a disappointment. It does not have the functionality expected in a water and ice dispenser. The 460 model that is now discontinued had a UV filter and chilled the dispensed water (although it with problems related to cleaning and drainage). The new “improved” 470 model does not have a UV filter (it does have a mechanical inline filter) and does not chill the water - it is just a digital tap! The ice maker does make ice without you having to worry about filling ice cube... (read more)
