I am very angry about these people. They found my CV registered on a jobs board, but without contacting me like proper agencies do, they passed it without my knowledge or permission to a third party company about a job vacancy. The first I knew about it was when I got an email from them giving me details about a job interview at a company, with just a job title and no job description or anything and told me that the interview was in two days. Now, I did not know about this application or any of the processes going on in the background. Agencies are not allowed by law to pass your details on without getting your permission first, but when I tried to complain (a) they would not answer the phone and (b) they did not reply to the emails I sent. The email they sent me was from a live.com address which is very fishy for a "proper" company. I googled the company where the interview was and it all looked legitimate but I had no way of knowing anything about the job. The email did say who the interview was with and I found the woman on LinkedIn and was able to email her. She did not know anything about the so-called job and said her firm were not recruiting at the moment. She had not heard of Outsource Plus and said it sounded like some kind of set-up. I am very glad I did not register on the Outsource website - they said they had set me up an account on it and wanted me to "verify" my account with my personal details. I think I may have had a lucky escape, especially after reading some of the other reviews on here.

It is not just this company, a lot of recruiters do this. And, in addition to recruiters 'stealing' your resume off job boards and passing them on to hiring companies (this could adversely affect you if you on your own apply to said company and they realize you were previously submitted by a recruiter - they may not want to deal with you at all, at that point), there are other reasons not to post your resume to a job board. You will receive A LOT of spam. I mean TONS! Also, a lot of managers feel that people who post their resumes online for all to see lack focus and direction and are 'desperate' for a job. I would avoid posting my resume online in the future.

“Got taken for a mug”

I got taken in by these people. The emailed me about a job interview with a well known company. Admittedly, I had not applied for this job but sometimes agencies to weird/ethical things and when you are desperate for work you can let your guard down. I did research the "interviewer" as part of my preparation and it did all seem OK. I emailed Outsource back with a couple of questions. It was from a Live.com address which was a bit odd but they did not reply. Anyway, I went to the interview at the address. The company was there but they did not know about the job or about Outsource. I did not lose any money (apart from my train fare which I could not afford to waste being out of work) but even worse I was made to look and feel stupid. Luckily I had the email from Outsource about the so-called and interview and they made a copy to get in touch with Outsource. Will be more wary in future.

I have heard this same situation about this recruiting co. many times, i.e. they arrange interviews with a company that has no idea you are coming. WTH? What is the deal with doing something like that? It just makes them look very stupid to all parties involved!

“I got a contract through Outsource Plus, it was...”

I got a contract through Outsource Plus, it was actually ok, but the wait was so long. They do hand pick their candidates so expect it to be a length process. 4/5 from me.

“Dodgy”

I had this company email me with a dream job I thought it was too good trove true at the time, but when they named the company name and address I looked them up and all was legitimate. Anyway I they set me up an application profile where you could sign in and it would come up with your details, I could not get it to work so I emailed 'The Company' on the email provided and never had a reply - I emailed them 3 times!!! They informed me I needed to do a CRB check which ended up in me giving my bank details over to them, I feel a fool now as 3 days after I did that my bank account was cleared out!!! Bit of a coincidence to say the least. I'm usually so vigilant but as the company they were offering to send me on an interview with was a reputable company, I felt at ease. Please anyone reading this don't make the same mistake as me, luckily the bank are refunding me but its the humiliation I have to live with.

Sorry you had such a bad experience with this outfit. They got in touch with me too and I got a bit suspicious when I researched this "agency". Glad I decided to give them a miss. They are bad news, I agree. I have had to block their number on my phone because they keep phoning me.

I certainly hope you filed a police report! They should not be allowed to get away with it, if they cleared out your account.

“These people keep emailing me from Hotmail address...”

written by on 26/07/2013

These people keep emailing me from Hotmail address (not even a proper company domain which is always a bid dodgy) saying I have applied for a job through them, which I haven't, and sending me details of fake jobs. The companies are real but the people doing the so-called interviews say there is no job and they have never heard of Outsource Plus. Also, the Royal Mail say they are not registered at the address they give. Please do not give these people any details.

A legit company does not use a free, throwaway email address like hotmail or live. Also, this business of sending people on false interviews seems to happen quite a bit with them. I am just not sure what their deal is, in doing that, unless it is to obtain bank details as the previous person who wrote a review indicated (that person had their account cleaned out).
