Boy, there are some bad agencies around in London but Hays must be the worst. The so-called registration meeting was a total waste of time but a few weeks later they got me some temp work. The first week it was £2.00 less an hour than they promised so I queried this. For the next 6 weeks they did not pay me at all and I had to borrow money from my sister to pay the rent. Then I got paid for one week but not the missing 6 weeks. So then I resigned and they had the nerve to say it was breach of contract! What about not paying me. So I went to Citizens Advice and they said Hays had broken the law by not even giving me a contract in the first place and got me legal advice to make them back off. Eventually because of their help I got my money but I would never set foot in their agencies again.
