“Electronic cigarette, with a realistic look cigarette...”

Hi, After trying a few different brands of electronic cigarette, i have settled on a model from a company called Pulse Cigarettes. I hope this review will give you some guidance with some issues i have found with electronic cigarettes.

I have been on and off electronic cigarettes for about nine months, i still enjoy smoking...but my main reasons for trying to switch over to the e cigs is the huge cost savings.

I will tell you now, don't expect to take to e cigs straight away... The taste is different, no matter what any company says! Also generally e cigs weigh more than normal cigarettes and feel strange at first. I would liken the average e cig to be a bit bigger than a super king size, you will get funny looks when you join your friends out side the pub! But at the same time complete strangers will ask what it is and where you got it etc, so it is quite often a good conversation starter!

The main issues i had with a few other models i have bought are price and the carry cases or boxes they come in. I have had no issues with quality or battery life etc, of the brands i have tried all seem very similar.

This may sound a bit silly, but you spend between £30-£50 on your nice new starter kit and it comes in a lovely box with the refill cartridges and chargers etc, great! But, do you cart the large box around with you, whip it out in the restaurant and proceed to screw your e-cig together while your friends sit there wonder what the hell your doing? Or do you remove it from the box and stick the e-cig in your pocket, only for it to fall out and get lost? (It happens i have lost three e cigs this way) Although i don't own a handbag or even a man bag for that matter i should think the same issues apply to the ladies when the e cig is put in a bag, it disappears into the bowels of the bag only to be found many years latter when the bag is on its way to the charity shop!

After searching around the net i came across www.pulse-cigarettes.com Their e cigs actually come in a cigarette style and size packet. Basic kit includes one battery, two refill cartridges and one USB charger, which all fit into the packet. It just feels normal! I don't want to sit on the bus with a foot long bright green stick poking out of my mouth, which i have just removed from a choclate box sixed box and spent the last five minutes putting together. It just makes me feel like i’m gonna get arrested! I just want to still enjoy smoking a realistic cigarette at a cheaper price...

Flavour wise i use their Pulse tobacco 16mg (which is the higher one) flavour. I am used to it now and three months later i am still using it without smoking any normal cigarettes. But it will take your 3-4 day of perseverance to get used to it! They supply quite a few other flavours too, a friend of mine for some reason (god only knows why!) bought some of the vanilla ones and to be honest they weren't bad at all, just not my cup of tea...

I am going to stop rambling on now, crack open a beer and enjoy my pulse e cig! But to sum up, for £9.99 you get a good start in electronic cigarettes and don't have to look and feel like an alien when you whip out your pulse cig packet! The cartridges are approx. equivalent to a pack of 20 normal cigarettes and a pack of five refills in any of their flavours is £7.99, so that works out about £1.60 for the equivalent of 20 cigarettes. Not bad eh? As a 20 a day smoker i have saved £396.00 in three months.
