On week 10 on champix stopped smoking on day 8 found it hard having been a heavy smoker for 40 years no nausea some headaches. At week 8 started to feel really angry thought at first it was lack of nicotine then realised i had none in my body. I cut down to 1 tablet a day to see if it made a difference but no still had the anger build up plus waking up with nightmares not a nice feeling at all frightened me as i have read the bad stories about these tablets. I have not had a tablet now for three days but so far have not had a smoke though i want one and have always wanted one from when i first started taking them so is it will power that is stopping me from lighting one up. Has anyone else had this happen to them i would love to know.

Hi, I quit on the 29th june also on champix. I have been doing fantastic so far,10th week also! I smoked for 25 yrs,but never a pk a day. 15 a day at its best.
I have quit taking champix 10 days short of finishing the 3 months as I wanted to see if I was going to have side effects from the tablets? It's been a week and no side affects.never got angry or bad thoughts, just found it hard to adopt new habits after not practicing the old ones.
We are very close in dates which is what made me write this comment.i am surrounded by friends and family members that still smoke including my husband, which adds to this challenge but I'm happy with my choice to quit and I'm intending on sticking with it.I had fun with cigarettes and socially drinking but have waved bye bye to both and say hello instead to healthier foods, excersize and slowing the aging process by looking after myself a bit better.
I reward myself with$50 a week savings and have my nails professionally done every fortnight, which is a good feeler insentiive.
I haven't had any support from anyone in particular besides the quit app in the app store, which is all your own input.Everyone around me including some that silently wishi would start smoking again, which I won't !
Would love a pen pal(if you're interested ,@bigpond.net.au)
If not, good luck to you and your goals, keep at it :)
Cheers
Linda
