“Replacement/Spares”

As chicco/Artasana only sell the set as a whole it is impossible to get spare parts, e.g. I tried to order another chassis (white) and they told me that it was only sold as a set.

“Be sure before you buy!”

written by on 24/08/2011

I brought the Living Trio speacail edition white label, for my unborn baby that is due Jan 2012. I am a bit dissapointed due to the description, The Buggy and everything is supposed to be all white with silvery trimmings, when it arrived the silvery trimmings were actully a dusty pink! This Buggy will be no good if I have a boy! I would like to have known it was pink before my purchase. Also the instruction are very difficult to read so you do have to take a good 15 minutes to leave to assemble thing by youself On the good side its a beautiful pushchair for a little girl and the materal is white but cleans up easily with a damp cloth. I do love the system as it is easy to assemble, it closes with no difficulty, and even came with a bonus baby carrier. would recomemend this to a friend!

“A bit dissapointed...”

written by claudiaOrpington on 25/07/2011

I have bought this travel system hoping I will not have to buy another pushchair or stroller later. Unfortunately, I am now desperately searching the web in order to find something for my 15 months old daughter. PROS: -3 in 1 is good up until the point when your baby becomes a toddler -sturdy pram/carry cot, good quality material -the carry cot can be used (with accessories bought separately) in the car for long journeys for babies under 6 months old. -nice design -easy to switch components on the chassis -the pushchair stands on its own when folded. -both parent facing and forward facing positions CONS: -heavy car seat/baby carrier -heavy carry cot -rain covers... absolutely useless -the pushchair is too narrow and squashed my daughter from the age of 9 months!!! This pushchair is advertised to last until the age of 3!!! This is now the reason I have to buy a new one after I initially paid for the whole travel system over £500!! In conclusion I do not think this was value for money and if I knew that I will use it with very much difficulty once my daughter turns 8-9 months old… I would not have bought it in the first place…. Shame, I quite like Chicco products but this time around, I think the pushchair let the whole product down..

Overal very disappointed had to buy another stroller for our six month old.
Wheels fall off, frame rattles, hood keeps falling down, too narrow for our baby at five months, and heavy. Chicco just blame the retailer when you try to give them feedback when its a poor design. Wouldnt recommend, stay well clear at £500 a rip off.

Chicco Trio for me: excellent pram, although it needs an umbrella since the hood is a bit small. very convenient hood of stroller seat. bag of satisfactory size. too small front wheels. hard handles. a little too heavy when the baby faces the mother. it looks light and handy but it's a bit tough to maneuver. no absorbers. the bag under the seat is not easily accessible. very heavy car seat - difficult to use as a bouncer - with a too little hood. generally not convenient if it is to be used for long every day.

“I bought the chicco trio for me as I liked the design,...”

written by on 02/09/2010

I bought the chicco trio for me as I liked the design, my daughter has Down syndrome so I wanted a pushchair that would provide her with enough support if it took her longer to sit and walk.
Sadly this pushchair has been a waste of money. The design is great but the manufacture is appalling, the wheels have fallen off in town, the frame is rickety and it is not up to the job. I walk every day with the pram and would expect it to be sturdy enough for this, but now at less than two years old it is falling apart.
My daughter is nearly two and not walking so I need a buggy for a good while yet and the chicco was sold to me as it would do up to 4 years, again the design would but the quality won't. Very diappointed.

“I bought the Chicco Trio 4 Me due to it being...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 20/08/2010

I bought the Chicco Trio 4 Me due to it being apparently light weight and simple to use. I REGRET buying it and at this moment would get rid if I had the money. The pram/cot part was good enough but the brittle plastic holding the hood up snapped and the store (and Chicco alleges the store) could not repair it without the hood being permanently jammed in the upright position. Also the chassis part is very very flimsy and cannot even take a tiny bump up a little raised pavement. I have to stop and tip the pram backwards to get about most of the time. After a caesarean this is not what you want to be doing. It's like a childs play pram. The pram rain cover (bought separately) leaked at the seams. The cheap carseat raincover I bought on ebay for the car seat was fine. I am now using the buggy part and this is even more cheap and nasty. Trying to fold down, lift and get in the boot of the car is not simple with the buggy attachment. My biggest gripe now is the raincover provided for the buggy. It is absolutely the most useless "raincover". It doesn't actually cover the buggy, sides, babies legs or the canopy (which leaks). It doesn't even protect from light showers. I am on the internet this evening trying desperately to try and find any raincover that will actually protect my baby from the rain. I just can't wait for the winter when the cosy leg warmer part will get soaked. What an absolute waste of money and I would never ever recommend to anyone. My advice would be: "do not buy it, even at half the price"

i have had my chicco for over a year and love it. As someone who has no strength i choose chicco as it was light weight and easy to lift in and out for the car and for me the best overall as its the car seat, pram and buggy all in one. Also great value as my parents only paid £300 from Kiddiecare.
I understand the reviews that this is not a ideal "walking" pram but if like me you are walking pavements, paths etc i found no problems. My son is now 13 months and i still use the buggy section Chicco where as my friends with similiar aged kids have bought another buggy as their larger 3 in 1's are now too heavy.

written by Jennifer Beattie on 23/04/2010

For the money paid, I found this pram to be very flimsy. The whole system feels flimsy and rickety. No good for any rough roads as baby gets rattled about. Handy for the car but not for walks. The hood broke very quickly and the rain cover won't stay in the studs. Unfortunately have great regrets about choosing this particular system.

“I think the Chicco Trio 4 Me is an excellent travel...”

★★★★★

written by mossop2002 on 20/04/2010

I think the Chicco Trio 4 Me is an excellent travel system. I bought this for £299 from Kiddicare.com and it has been brilliant value for money. The car seat is sturdy and has an insert which you can remove when they get bigger - I don't understand the comments about it being "fiddly" to put onto the frame as it is simple, in my opinion. The carrycot part of the pram is easily adjustable, it can be raised so that your little one is almost sitting up and lies flat when they are sleeping. The buggy is rear or forward facing, easily adjustable and can be laid flat when baby is sleeping. The cosy-toes are very warm and easily removed and washed and the rain cover fits perfectly. The frame folds up and down very easily, and when they're bigger and in the buggy, it folds down without having to remove the seat part. The shopping basket is easy to access and is large and the changing bag that comes with it is very practical. The only thing I'd have liked is for the wheels to be a little more sturdy, but that is a minor complaint - I live in the country and it manages the dirt paths around here quite well.

written by on 02/03/2010

The chicco trio for me is flimsy and rickety, its awkward to get the car seat on the pram frame as you have to set it down to move the handle and as the frame is so rickety the pins never line up to the slots where the go. Getting the stroller seat on and off is fiddly as well. The raincover for the buggy doesn't seem to fit although the carrycot raincover is fine. There is no raincover for the car seat and when the baby is young thsi is the mian part you use, making it useless for bad weather. Plus the hood on the car seat is flimsy and pathetic and bent all out of shape - useless. The onyl good thing is the way it folds up quiet easily and reasonably compact but for a £500 travel system definitley not worth the money.

Don't really understand the review below. We love our Chicco trio for me travel system and you have everything you need. The carry cot is adjustable so you could raise the base so baby is almost sitting up or down so that its flat for baby to sleep, so don't know why reviewer below hasn't adjusted the base so it isn't 'sloping'. Also, the rain cover that comes with the travel system is for the stroller function so you have to buy the carrycot rain cover separate... and it fits like a dream. Maybe the reviwer below was using wrong raincover?

It is tricky to put together because the instructions are terrible, and it can seem flimsy once everything's clicked in but that's simply because the pram is quite flexible. Folding down is easy, just pull back two release catches and use your foot to catch at the base and draw up. To put back down just pull on the release catches again and pull the handles towards you.

Had absolutely no problems with carseat. Fits in car fine (corsa). I'm now using the rear-facing stroller and baby looks very cosy inside. Movement of pram is smooth and easy because of the front swivel wheels. You could turn it on a fifty pence piece.

We travel a lot in the car and had no major problems, except partner once put carseat in the wrong way on the pram... and we had a horrible time trying to get it out. You do it once and the carseat might never get back out lol. The only other thing I would say is when you want to put the carseat on the pram, you have to take carseat out and set it on the ground so you can re-organise the handle and clips (which are hidden away when not used) to click in the pram. But really, it's a minor inconvenience for a great travel system!

written by shellypops on 15/01/2010

I bought the Chicco trio for me for £299 off of kiddicare.com after thinking i'd done alot of research into value for money and how good it was aswel. I live in guernsey (where there are only really cobbled paths and hills), and 2 flights down in a flat with no lifts. When i got it i didn't realise that it was so flimsy, broken and generally of bad quality. The car seat doesn't give much head support and its hard to fit in a smaller car (VW lupo + polo), the carrycot seems to shake about like its not fixed in properly and slants down abit where baby's head goes, i have to push in the side of the buggy so either the carrycot or car seat clicks in properly (even though they shake when moving still). The hood on the car seat is bent out of shape so offers no shade or wind protection, the rain cover only barely fits over the buggy bit, so we've had to fork out for new rain covers to go over the carrycot and car seat and the basket is almost useless as the rain cover is about the only thing that fits in it. Bad buy, would not recomend...ever!

I got the trio for me pram as a first time mum when showed to me in the shop it seemed to be be perfect, compact etc, After about 1 week noticed that the wheels constantly squeek, the handle bars are wobley and rattle aswell, cannot get into the shopping basket, car seat has very little head supportand it hard to fit onto the frame.

Would not recommend it to anyone, rip off at £500.

this is my second chicco trio travel pram/pushchair/stroller!
this is the best ever you have not need to buy anything else!
easy fold down frame that fits in the smallest of car boots!
you have the car seat that fits straight onto the frame for when your just nipping to the shops or town, carry cot thats fixes onto the frame for longs strolls and days out for ultimate comfort for baby! stroller is rear facing as well as forward i have my 8 month in the rear facing and its brill you can see what their doing! i dont use the extra handle connection that makes it one straight handle as thats the only pain when folding taking they attachment off but that is the only fault i can find, this is truelly truelly a fantastic buggy!
i find it very strange if no one gets on with this sytem or they must be something wrong with them!!
the hood on the pushchair practically pulls over baby so is shielded from sun or wind!

The Chicco Trio Travel System is compact for a travel system and comfortable for baby. It's perfectly safe and comfortable for the little one but very impractical for the parent. I still have to ask random strangers every once in a while to help me fold it...Difficult to steer
Difficult to fold
Difficult to recline

After researching into pushchair brands I decided to buy my first little one a Chicco! Each piece is really easy to use, great breaking systems and all round general good design. I bought mine online and got a really good price. I have a Peugot 206 and all pieces fold up nicely in the back which is really important as it's easier to change your push chair rather than your car. I would recommend.
