Just down the road from where I live is The Bedford. Not far from Balham high street (across from Sainsbury's) is a large pub. Inside is comfortably decorated and seemingly huge.

On Tuesday night we went down to watch the live music. The room where the bands play is a good size and filled with tables and seating and because it's circular it's easy to get a good view even if you're at the back of the room. There was food on (fish night it seemed by the amount of people eating fish and chips) but we'd already eaten so cannot really comment on that. Service at the bar was pretty swift and prices reasonable for London.

I'd definitely go back for the music, it's rare to find a venue that has such a range of different music on and all for nothing.
