I have used Vivastreet many times with success but recently they have been infuriatingly unpredictable.
Having spent over an hour carefully drafting my ad and making sure it was professional in all respects, I submitted and received back 'your ad was unable to be published' along with a generic short email saying why.
My ad did not fall into any of the categories stated in the 'reasons' why it may not have been published, and it certainly was not explicit but as it is in the modelling/photography section I did have to use words like 'glamour' and 'bust' as these are required by the sector in general and are recognised as professionally used terms by this sector.
I spent a half day amending and resubmitting and being rejected again with no contact whatsoever (despite having my email address) to tell me WHAT was supposed to be the problem.
I then logged in later and saw my nice, very detailed ad had been 'deactivated' before it even hit the screens. Still no explanation. It is now 48 hours on from when I first submitted.
I have no idea if I have been charged for this and I have wasted a lot of time.
Vivastreet, before you write a response to this please note I have ALREADY submitted this complaint to the Review Centre and also to the general address and still no joy and no clarity.
My view, and I am sure it's shared by all users having this problem, is that if you reject a clearly well-considered and polite, professional ad, at least have the grace to send a customer services email stating specifically what the issue was so that we do not waste a day altering to no avail.
This gives me the impression Vivastreet has an auto-reject system in place which will reject ads with words like 'bust' while allowing through, quite frankly, a lot of sleaze just because they may not feature the offending word?? (I still have no idea if my ad WAS rejected on that basis though....can only guess.)
