When I first joined this website was really glad of the service. Now after 6 months I am beginning to despair. Just far too many time wasters and too few serious movers. Users need to be more specific about the areas they want to move to and be in a position to actually move! Far too many on this site just to see what they could get and wasting everyone's time. Too many people are not realistic about social housing. They expect it to be like a show home or a new build property and are not willing to re-decorate. Surely the location of the home is the most important thing as the inside can be changed? I think the website owner should be taking more responsibility and banning people who are not serious, as it is causing a lot of stress to those of us who have got plans and cannot move on until we have moved house.

totally agree, i cant even get response from website about my pics of my house not uploading at all and its under 10mb!

I found this to be problem as well but discovered it was due to the browser I'm using. I use Chrome and got the 10mb alert but when I switched to the Microsoft Explorer browser it uploaded no problem at all.

I agree with the above comment. Most people don't even take the time to respond. and you got to keep asking if your property is of any interest. I have been on homeswapp for some time now and it is beginning to fustrate me as you have so many perfect matches, when a message of interest is sent you don't get a response. Too many time wasters on the site.
There isn't a direct contact number for homeswapp, that isn't good enough. you can only email them and again they themselves don't respond.
I think its all a waste of alot of people precious time.

It would be better if homeswappers had to sign some kind of contract with their council/housing association forcing people to agree to be responsible. Hopefully that would make the timewasters think twice before joining the site. It is very stressful moving house and it can affect all aspects of people's lives, work/schools etc. I just wish others would remember that and at least have the courtesy to reply to others who took the time to contact them. My six month free trial is almost up and i will have to start paying for this now. Grrr
