Property Owner Cancelled at Last Minute

This was the first time we had booked a property with Holiday Lettings and we will not be doing so again. We booked the property for July/August 2013 in September 2012 in order to get a good deal and good choice of properties. We had no reason to think there would be a problem. Deposit was accepted, booking contract completed and sent by e-mail and post, balance then paid 6 weeks before the holiday and then the owner sent an e-mail cancelling our holiday. Major panic and stress. They denied ever receiving the booking contract by e-mail or post (how likely is that?) and said the property was not suitable for our party. I can prove the e-mail was sent but not the postal contract. They did return our money (although not any interest they will have accrued) but we then had to start from scratch booking again and with a limited amount of time we had to pay far more money for a similar property. I have attempted to find a way to contact Holiday Lettings to discuss this with them but they do not have an e-mail address and you go round in circles on the website. Any advice?
