We all know that times are tight so I figured I would rent my spare room out but was always worried about having odd people turn up. The Easyroommate site was great, I signed up after seeing that as a free member I could see potential people wanting to rent, but was restricting the amount and who I could contact so I signed up for a month (about £30) and found a nice couple who have rented the room up for a year.
I liked the idea that you got to see who wanted to rent your room or could contact someone who wanted to rent in your area if you wanted, and had enough filters in place to specify the type of person you'd like to rent to. This was a lot cheaper than using a letting agent, and I'd recommend it to anybody wanting to rent out a room.
