Thrilled with our experience of Surelet Gloucester!

When my husband's job moved our family to America for two years, we were nervous about renting out our family home. As we had no choice financially, we had to be pretty philosophical about the whole process; but having listened to several horror stories from others in our position, were resigned to the fact that our home would be trashed upon our return!

I called 2 letting agents; but when I spoke to Surelet they said that they already had a family that wanted a house in our location and would be ready to move in as soon as we could move out! They were absolutely true to their word, managed the viewing, contracts, inventory and fees and we were gone within 3 weeks!!

Every 3 months initially our property was checked and we were emailed a full report of its condition. Fortunately for us we had incredible tennants who really took care of the house and slotted into our community successfully. However any small issues that happened along, were always dealt with to our complete satisfaction by Surelet. They managed our property in our absence, undertook any maintenance in an efficient and cost-effective way, took care of the contract renewal and kept us informed in writing of anything we needed to be aware of.

We honestly had no problems whatsoever in the whole two years and although our tennants had already vacated before we arrived home, Surelet organised a thorough clean the week of our arrival.

Clearly we were incredibly fortunate to have wonderful tennants who stayed for nearly the entire duration of our absence and treated our home respectfully as if it was their own. However Surelet sourced them, liaised with them and seemed to be very fair in managing whether any maintenance issue was the responsibility of the tennant or landlord.

I should just add that we questioned whether it was worth paying the extra to have Surelet manange our property whilst we were away. As we were abroad and in a different time zone, this was a no-brainer and worth every penny. We were not constantly hassled and things were simply taken care of.

We felt we had excellent service and were so relieved to find our home so well looked after. Our thanks to Sarah who was very efficient, organised and approachable and to Justin who kept us updated in her absence.
