I completed the online purchase process. Two emails swiftly arrived confirming the payment, saying a card would be with me in 15 days. Three weeks later I see the charge on my bank statement, but the card has not arrived. In response to my complaint email, I am informed that I failed the online checks, and that a refund would be sent sometime in the next 30 days. I can't imagine why I failed the online checks, given that I have a good history. Why would they charge me, if I failed the online checking process? Why was the refund not processed automatically? Probably best to avoid this company if possible. Very poor experience.

I purchased this pre paid credit card using an e voucher, and sent all the identifacation they asked for. I never received this credit card, and they have never replied to any of my emails. I cannot find any reference on their website to complain. Only to contact customer services. The problem is, customer servives ignore me to. Avoid buying this credit card, and go somewhere else instead.

I have had this card for years however they started moving the goal posts a lot. It used to be a £3 per £100 top up fee and £2.50 to pull cash out at a cashline. There was an annual card fee of about £5. They then changed this so they now A. Charge you to put the money on at paypoint which was the most convenient way if you didnt want to risk waiting days on end by other methods. B. Charge you every time you use the card (stupid yes I know) C. Charge an increased amount on any gaming or gambling related payments. Its really blatant now its gone down hill since they no longer display a customer services telephone number on the website. I eventually managed to get hold of someone after finding the number on Google, when I called I was told the number was on the website on the terms and conditions.... why didnt I think of looking through the 30 page document when there was a contact us page ??? The other reviews are 100% correct in that despite being publicised and advertised as a no ID card the instant you want to use it they require lots of ID and it goes through a lengthy process taking days and as with the other reviews multiple phone calls. If you have the misfortune to have to try and call them you run the risk of being passed to an overflow call centre which doesnt seem to be able to do anything at all other than take messages and relay them and hopefully get you a call back (which 4 times out of 5 has not happened). At the moment I have been waiting for a customer services call back for 5 days to unlock my card. Really a shame this product went from being so good to so bad.

As I don't have a debit or credit card I thought this would be a good option for me if I wanted to buy online, I noted that it stated there was NO ID REQUIRED, so bought myself the starter pack from WHSmiths at a cost of £9.95.
I activated it and got an email confirming payment with "Your card will be dispatched shortly. Please allow up to 15 days for delivery." about 5 days later I received an email asking for 1 document from List A and 1 from List B to confirm my ID (note it already said NO ID REQUIRED)
These are what they asked for:-
From List A
Passport
Driving Licence
National Identity Card
Benefits agency/local authority letter confirming your benefits
HMRC Tax Notification
Residence Permit
IND application registration card
From List B
Council Tax Bill
Gas, Electricity, Water Bill
Landline telephone bill
TV, Satellite, Cable bill
Bank Statement
Home or motor insurance certificate/schedule
Letter from a known employer
Letter from a university, college, known language school or UCAS
NHS medical card (under 18s only)
Tenancy agreement or rent book
Vehicle registration document
From list A, I only have a passport, but they wanted the original, so I wasn't going to send that, I won't even send an original to a government agency, so there was no way I would be sending it to a company I know little about.
From list B I had nothing at all.
So as I couldn't verify my ID with them (even though it stated NO ID REQUIRED), they said I wouldn't be able to have a card and I requested a refund.
I got an email the following day
"We have now processed your request and cancelled your application. A refund of your application fee will be processed which you will receive within the next 30 days by cheque."
This was 30 working days ago and no cheque has been received, so I have kindly asked for the refund to be paid direct into my bank account.
I would strongly suggest people avoid buying this.

Splash Plastic by 360 money is great!
Good company, but not so good customer service. Have had a couple of problems with the chip and pin (but it was my fault forgetting my pin!) however the card is a bit flimsy and mines almost snapped in half, still works though! Good card, it works but the work needs doing on the customer service side. I refuse to call them on an 0845 number and would rather wait days for an email reply.
One great thing though- no credit checks, under 18s can get one, you can top up in tons of places and you can even pay the initial card charges by text!
An OK company,, so thats why they get 4 stars; don't know why people are being so negative about it.

Had alot of trouble with "Pending" payments in. Often taking days to reach account (even by top up voucher).
Once contacted their customer support via email, took days for them to reply, and then only received a basic "cut and paste" job, which never answered my problem. Spent days "ping-ponging" emails to and fro - got nowhere fast. All their emails were the same paste job!
Great to start with, ended up being V.Poor at the end.
If you must apply to SPLASH PLASTIC please make sure you READ their terms and conditions. There are some really NASTY bits about cancelling/closing your account with them. And this is how they make even more money from you.

Splash Plastic is a terrible card. I also have had issues with pending payments on card that should of been non-existent and with arguement after arguement still never resolved. They rob you blind and have a terrible customer service help desk too. My advice; stay well clear.

A miserable weekend wasted trying to get them to acknowledge that a 'pending payment' was non-existent through a series of increasingly irate emails. Eventually got my balance restored after asking for contact details of the of 360 Money CEO and saying I would charge them £150 a day until balance was restored. Could not phone customer services because they only operate 9 to 5 Monday to Friday...and charge £1 a minute for the pleasure of talking to them.
No apology.
A costly and inefficient way to access your own money. Avoid it.

please go else where.
the whole idea of a pre paid card is a good one;not splash.
nothing but hassle from the beginning.
with holding money through none existing pending transactions;
poor customer service;
blame everyone else for mistakes on their part;
none appologetic;
stay away...........

Terrible purchase. 360money Splash Plastic customer service is non-existent: if a problem arises, they will bounce you through countless e-mails, but never solve the problem.
In my case, we were not even able to move beyond the activation stage, as they messed everything up completely, by not considering documents I sent them multiple times, and not reading my e-mails. Desperate, in the end, I have put a stop loss and have just cancelled my card, with the possibility to incur five quid in expenses as cancellation fees, without ever having been able to use the card. Also, Maestro is not accepted on amazon.

There are some charges when you are using the 360Money Splash card but you can also get cash back whilst using the card. You can also get £5 for every person that you ask to sign up and sign up. You can get money off voches from other companys when you use your card on their site or in their store. I hope this helps anyone looking.

Expensive charges, bank transfer top up got lost and I had to chase them for a fortnight to find it, card is rejected at most on-line retailers despite having more than double the required balance. Customer Services is non-existent and any problem requires a massive email tennis marathon to get sorted out, their attitude stinks!

360money Splash Plastic card charges are a tad high, but that seems to be the case for all these type of "pre-paid" cards. Customer Services ... they will never, ever get back to you ... ever.
Tried to change my address details, after a move, and was told that I could not manually change them on the site because I had not been a customer long enough, so I must post documents with proof of my new address to them.
Did so, and heard nothing.
After endless phone calls, costing 50p per minute!, I was constantly told the same thing by their customer service people ... "We have your documents, they have not been processed yet, someone will contact you today or tomorrow." ... heard that for two weeks, and counting ... still no joy :(

I disagree with this review because I have had nothing but helpfulness. I had my purse stolen and within 20 mins my account details were changed and I had a new card sent out free of charge, it arrived the next day.
