“Yodel don't deliver.”

Recently I ordered a 15kg bag of dog food from Amazon. A few days later my neighbour, who lives on the farm next to mine, came walking down the drive with it in her wheelbarrow after having found the bag next to her farm gate! The entrance to her farm is a few feet from ours - her gate is kept shut and has no house or farm name on it and ours is a few feet away, always open and is clearly marked with our Farm name. There is no excuse for Yodel not to have delivered this parcel and anyone could have walked off with it. I am lucky that my neighbour spotted it and that she is honest. To add insult to injury, when I checked the online tracking information it said that I had signed for it! Amazon are investigating.

A couple of weeks ago the same neighbour found a package stuck in her hedge that was addressed to me. The sender uses a courier that sub contracts to Yodel.

At the end of October 2013 I ordered a box of polystyrene cups from a supplier through Amazon. Despite being clearly and correctly addressed, the box was randomly left on the door step of someone in our village. She happened to be away for a few days and during what was an exceptionally stormy weekend, the box became soaking wet and damaged. The lady to whom the box was delivered very kindly put it into her car and drove it round to us. I didn't realise at the time who the courier was but having just checked with the supplier, I am not surprised to find out that it was Yodel.

I live in a great community and it is their honesty and efforts that have ensured that my parcels have reached me, not the courier whose job it was to deliver them.

JJD0002221502989365 for the most recent order. No tracking numbers were given for the 17th February (Seller World Books) or for the order placed on 22nd October 2013 (Seller Venus Packaging).

Ten days on and no further news from Yodel or Amazon to reassure me that steps have been taken to ensure that this situation won't arise again.

Still no response beyond the standard reply. Perhaps Attila got fed up and moved on? This kind of feedback can't be very good for Yodel can it? What are you going to do about it?
