The website and service is a mess!

Confusing track n trace. For UK parcels there are a few different webpages where you can do this and the interface and resulting information differs in scope.

And what number do I have? Is it a consignment number or a 'Reference' number? The simple click and track in eBay that does fine with other companies - doesn't work. I expected a delivery between 2 – 3 pm – I had phoned the local depot and they had given me that estimate. The guy was polite and helpful but I waited in until 6 pm and the delivery did not show up.

So there's this webpage but it's not very well layed out.

The mobile phone track and trace webpage gave me very little information too, just the date the parcel had been collected and a suggestion that I "call TNT SWINDON or our Call Centre free on 0800 xxx" for further information.

When I later checked the progress of the parcel it said

"Time constraint prevented delivery. Delivery will be next working day."

It is very poor service for them not to make it a priority due to letting me down on the delivery and for me to once again give up a whole day to wating indoors. Unlike other courier services they do not provide an approximate time of delivery or a time slot. This is my first dealing with TNT and I am not happy with the service and will try to avoid them in future.
