Over many decades I have found Royal Mail to provide excellent service. Their parcel service is not cheap but it is reliable and the depot is nearby if I was not in and need to collect. And the staff are friendly. Problems? Yes, when I lived in Luton I lost several items sent to me. Unfortunately a few staff are light fingered. Special Delivery is more secure, and worth it for high value items. I hope privatisation does not destroy the service.
