Use a courier company instead.
An organisation with no pride in what they do, no concerns about their awful customer service or any desire to improve their performance. The only difference between, for example their 1st class, 2nd class and recorded sign for delivery, is what they charge their customers.
When a recorded item is not delivered, customers have to wait for 15 days and all that Royal Mail are able to say is that prior to 15 days, item is delayed, after 15 days, item is lost. The tracking number is useless because it does not really track anything and is simply a proof of postage.
If you have important documents that you want delivered on time, if you don't want your private information failing into the wrong hands and perhaps used for illegal activities, if you want value for money - DON'T USE ROYAL MAIL. Courier companies offer a much better service. Or, simply use the internet.
