I asked Red Star Forwarding from Antwerpen for a quote to have my furniture shipped to Australia when moving there from Luxembourg. Not the most communicative of places, but they came back with an offer which seemed decent, and their website promising they are super professional I decided to have them do the shipping. The process was muddled and lacked any transparency throughout - they sent me a driver who told us to take it easy while packing, and forgot to get my signature, then charged me for extra time in loading (which he was happy to chat away), and for his coming back to have the paperwork signed. When I complained, it was the Nazi Germany response - Nein nein nein, you must pay and that's it - customer service or good faith is a foreign concept to these people. The stuff arrived to Sydney, where I had to pay 600 AU$ they vaguely mentioned - and then another 2000 AU$ of local costs never quoted. Of course, being 'professionals' Red Star were not the least interested in what they sold me - according to them, their part was all done and invoiced. If you need someone to move your things, or ship overseas, do yourself a favor and find a better company - these guys will have no issues ripping you off wherever they can (and once they have your furniture, they will use this to do just that). AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
