I recently had the misfortune to be on the receiving end of a delivery from parcel force. They put a card through the door advising me that my parcel was left at my local post office which turned out to be one and a half miles away, although I have a post office within walking distance of my home. No other option had a box ticked. They never attempted a redelivery, apparently you only get one shot, and if you're out - tough! I tried to organise redelivery on the phone (automated) was told that if my parcel was left at a Post Office, I MUST (emphasised!) pick it up from there. What would happen if I didn't drive, or was disabled? I thought it was a delivery service not a pick-it-up-yourself service, are we having to do their jobs for them? To annoy me even further, when I did pick up my parcel, there was a red and yellow sticker on it announcing 'Convenient Delivery'! Convenient for Parcel Force, not for customers!
