I was very nervous about shipping my car from Maryland to California. It was the first time I had to do something like this, but I had heard about Montway transport from a friend and decided to try them out. They are mainly a broker and will set you up with a private contracting transporter who will take the job. It was very easy reserving a spot on their online form, and then I was notified by email within 24 hours that a transporter had been found to pick up my car a day after I had requested. The truck driver called me a day before he arrived to set up an exact time for pick-up, and then he arrived impeccably at the correct time. For an extra $150, I was even allowed to pack the interior cabin of the car and the trunk full of boxes and bedding which helped reduce my moving costs for these items significantly. My car arrived in California during the expected time frame without any damage, and all items intact. Overall, this was a much easier experience than the nightmare I was expecting.
